Dude Agent On hEX Lite RB750r2?

Can the hEX Lite RB750r2 be configured to act as a Dude Agent? I'm about to deploy 200 RB750r2's and each will be behind another router/firewall so I'm interested in having them act as Dude Agents. Is this possible? If not, is there any way to make them visible to The Dude through firewall rules?

Network / Device Management and Cloning Configs

I am about to install 200 MikroTik hEX Lite Routers across a geographically distributed area and I'm curious what you would recommend for bulk configuration and management. Each router will sit behind it's own cell modem (firewalled w/ NAT) and I'll use port forwarding on the Cell WAN to LAN in orde...

VRF Routing Between Identical Subnets

I have a unique setup where I need to add a second WAN connection to an existing LAN and curious if anyone knows if it is possible to leave the IP addresses of the existing assets alone by using VRF and only changing the client gateways. Here is what I mean: Original: https://i.imgur.com/y3v3fPt.png...

Re: Using Mangle Is Breaking Remote Access

Another possible solution is routing rules like: /routing rule add src-address=192.168.200.2/32 action=lookup table=out_WAN2 THIS. Thank you @Sob! I added this to the /Routing Rules and everything is working as I expect it to! Mangle is tracking packets and router generated traffic goes where I wan...

Re: Using Mangle Is Breaking Remote Access

The entire IP address schema baffles m e, as not sure why what has been chosen has been chosen, I would think setting statiC DHCPs would suffice??? In any case its probably one of those cases that is perfectly fine and I just dont understand the logic. Seems to be a pattern of setting the IP addres...

Re: Using Mangle Is Breaking Remote Access

Thank you all for your responses. I really appreciate the input. I haven’t been able to try @Sob’s route rule and won’t be able to until I get back to work Monday. I’m hoping this is the piece that I need. As I mentioned at the end of the OP, whenever I add a main table routing rule it seems to brea...

Using Mangle Is Breaking Remote Access

I have a post here https://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?t=185577 that explains how I used mangle to track multiple WAN connections and always route inound WAN traffic back out to the appropriate gateway. However implementing this has seemed to break my ability to access the router with WinBox. I...

Re: Multi WAN Connection Tracking

Thanks, I believe this is virtually the same as what I have setup now. It took a bit of brain damage to wrap my mind around the concepts, but it makes sense now.

Re: Multi WAN Connection Tracking

Edit: Disregard, I had to exclude traffic directed at the WAN IP address port from getting marked.

I had been able to access the router through WinBox on the server throug the WAN but, now that is broken. Any one have any ideas?

Re: Multi WAN Connection Tracking

you have to reconfigure 200 sites and you expect that to be simple without central management or automation system established and configured? how you think to achieve that? I'm loading a templated config into 200 new routers on the bench. Changes in the future should be one off, not en mass. Is th...

Command-line examples precisely describe the settings made, using the Web UI / Winbox there may be settings on multiple tabs of a items properties which would require several screenshots and the necessary fields highlighted to convey the same information. You can always look through the graphical U...

Re: Multi WAN Connection Tracking

Mark new incoming connections in mangle and then reroute traffic from local hosts based on that connection mark (by using mangle routing mark or route rules) So I easily setup the inbound marks and can monitor that connections are getting marked via IP/Firewall/Connections, inbound are WAN1_conn an...

Re: Multi WAN Connection Tracking

Thanks for the quick replies! After some searching I came up with this: https://aacable.wordpress.com/2018/11/19/mikrotik-remote-access-via-multiple-wan-links/ This walks through things differently than the Wiki. Is there a right or best way to do this? I'm not familiar with text commands and haven'...

Multi WAN Connection Tracking

Is there a way to have an incoming packet on the WAN 1 to always be returned out WAN 1 and Incoming traffic on WAN 2 to always be returned on WAN 2 regardless of source IP? With default router setup everything is returned to WAN 1 by default routing rules. I can add rules to route specific IP traffi...

Dual WAN Router Setup

I'm new to MikroTik devices and weak with routing in general. I need to setup the following in RouterOS: https://i.imgur.com/AQyrZQg.png Goal being that A Corp and B Corp can request data through their Cell's and the WAN ports on the router to 192.168.0.0/24 and the router will pass those packets on...

Inserting Second Gateway/Router in Subnet

I need to add a second WAN connection to an existing subnet and would like ideas on how to do this with a hEX Lite. Here is the existing setup: https://i.imgur.com/y3v3fPt.png As mentioned in the drawing, the server for X Corp requests data from the RTU's using Cell 1's IP and port forwarding. To ge...
