Re: Site-to-site VPN within strange network [SOLVED]

Wireguard couldn't be a solution?
As far as I know I'd need a client app (on my business laptop?) for this solution. This was my first thought but I can't install any applications because I don't have admin rights. Or am I wrong?

Site-to-site VPN within strange network [SOLVED]

Hi guys, since I am not allowed to establish a VPN connection from my business laptop to my home network, I thought of simply add my old router to run that task on hardware side. I tried to put the thoughts into a sketch: Black lines are what I already achieved, red lines what I don't know how to im...

Re: Add cAP with all interfaces to main network [SOLVED]

Haha, so simple. By now I did this way more complicated… thank you so much for pushing me in the right direction!

It was in CAP mode, but (somehow) differently configured. This is exactly what I was looking for!

Add cAP with all interfaces to main network [SOLVED]

Hi all! I successfully added multiple CAPs via CAPsMAN to my "main" home network (192.168.20.0/24). All CAPs are powered by PoE to ether1 . In the CAPs under bridge/ports the interfaces wlan1 , wlan2 and ether2 are bridged together. This bridge is the only member of the interface list LAN,...

Muptiple subnets for L2TP/IPSec VPN

Hi all together, I'm having a problem and can't get it solved: I have 2 subnets (192.168.10.0/24 and .20/24). I want to get addresses via DHCP in different subnets for different users (e. g. user10 and user20). Since I can only set one default profile in PPP/L2TP server and the subnet-assigning is o...

Re: Ping is possible, no internet access (http)

I found the error - the old DNS gateway was still in use (192.168.88.1). Sorry for this unnecessary issue and a nice evening to all!

Ping is possible, no internet access (http)

Hi guys, I have a RBD52G with default configuration which I wanted to connect to the internet via a Fritzbox. When I’m in the FBs LAN (192.168.99.0/24) I can access the internet properly. When I’m in the MTs LAN (192.168.1.0/24), I can ping addresses (from both WiFi client and routers terminal) but ...

Firewall rules for Bonjour between multiple subnets

Hi guys, I just got my first MT (hAP ac3) and configured the basics (interfaces, subnets, ...). So my current setting is - bridge-private (with ether4, ether5, wlan2) - bridge-guest (currently with wlan1) and - bridge-iot (with wlan3 as virtual slave of wlan1 and ether2, ether3) - ether1 is set as D...

Thanks guys!

Re: Feature Request: IP Multicast Routing/mDNS/Zeroconf/Bonjour

The only way to increase the chance of mDNS being implemented is showing Mikrotik how important it is for their users. So also from me: +1 for Bonjour/mDNS implementation (at least in a very simple way of Avahi with mDNS reflection).

Solving network security issue [SOLVED]

Hi all together, probably I’m having a quite weird issue, maybe it’s just paranoia. This morning I plugged in my new hAP ac2 and connected it with my router, a Fritzbox 6490, which is the gateway to the internet. After that, I needed to leave the house and I came back hours later. Then I saw that AP...
