Re: "not responding" - f.k.a. SA Query timeout

I'm on 7.16.1 on my HAP AX2 at home and still getting WIFI "Lockouts" too. 10-20 seconds of no data going through to wifi clients - totally unresponsive. 7.14.3 doesn't have the issue. I don't even have WPA3 enabled. Have tried different frequences with no difference. It's at the point whe...

Well... No wonder you got disconnected... That signal strength is sh*t...
He is refering to SA query timeouts, and signal strength is not sh*t. He is getting that with signal stronger than -65.

Getting the same issues on my AX2 - went back to 7.14.3 when this wasn't happening.

Re: Wi-Fi connection randomly drops, then reconnects in seconds [SOLVED]

Was having the same issues - tried all the "fixes" suggested all over the forum and just about any other setting I could think of but nothing solved this.

In the end I did a downgrade to 7.14.3 and all is working again as expected without issues.

Re: v7.15.2 [stable] is released!

So after trying several different config changes and even PSU swap I couldn't solve the WIFI stability issue. As a last resort I downgraded to 7.14.3 and after 3 hours not a single stability issue - except for 3 SA query timeouts on IOT devices. Definitely seems like there is a WIFI stability issue ...

Re: v7.15.2 [stable] is released!

I have a HAP AX2 with CAPSMAN setup and have been noticing that every 5-15 min the WIFI interface lock up for 10-20 seconds - no data passing to WIFI clients. When this happens, some clients will disconnect (infamous "disconnected, connection lost, signal strength -40") some cycles more cl...

Re: v7.15 [stable] is released!

There is an issue with the switch based port policer (ingress traffic) not sure how far this goes back but in v7.15 you can observe the following. The egress shaper works within expectations, however the ingress policer results in limiting speed to about 1/10th of whatever number you place in the r...

I'll be doing some config test - firewall included, later on. Want to rule out those as well.

But turning hardware-offloading on and off shouldn't change behaviour like that, except when it's a bug.

Can ping the printer, sometimes printer shows online but most of the time offline. Jobs failing and every now and then a job goes through.

Disabling hardware offloading and job queues immediately go out and all documents waiting to print, print correctly.

Re: v7.14.3 [stable] is released!

On RB5009 with 7.14.3 inter-vlan printing doesn't work. Disabling hardware offload on the bridge or going back to 7.14.2 fixes the problem. Same problem has happened on a previous version with RB750GR3.

If you think about what Fasttrack does you will know the answer. Fasttrack HW-Offloads established connections to the switch-chip, these packets are thereby accelerated by not having to be processed by the CPU. X86 is CPU only - there is no switch chip to offload to. There are specialized hardware t...

As far as I'm concerned distance limitation is on the transceivers module. So will depend on the transceivers that you can get supported on the switch.

The furthest I see on Mikrotik's own tranciever list is 80km for 1.25G and 15km for 10-25G.
