I wonder how good are the antennas in ATL 5G going to be. I have LHG LTE 18 at a location rather distant from the *only* tower and I'm afraid I might rather need "LHG 5G" to justify upgrade to a new hardware.
> 1) Are you interested in a central controller for MikroTik devices? If yes: > a) do you need it for wireless settings only (like a centralised capsman) > b) or you are interested to manage all configuration of these MikroTik devices Wireless, DHCP and firewall: I'm interested in a central place fo...
What if you don’t share the Internet and test from the router itself? Can the router access the Internet? Does it even have IP address and default gateway installed? You’ve mentioned it worked for 3 days and then stopped working. Does rebooting the router grant you another 3 days of working?
Any chance your Greek operator is Cosmote and you have Cosmote Mobile Security enabled? I had terrible problems with this service enabled, introducing packet loss and TCP retransmissions, getting slower as time passed since router reboot. It was also impossible to disable this service by SMS, I had ...
If by "bridge" you mean "pass-through" then yes, you can do it. Please remember that in pass-through mode the Mikrotik LTE device won't be reachable by an IP address on the interface used as pass-through target. One easy way to make it work is to use the non-tagged ethernet inter...
Shouldn't MSS clamping be done by operator's TCP Proxy (they are often running on mobile networks, at least for APNs without inbound access)? But you're right, it's probably a good idea to check it.
> Usually it doesn't work that bad I work occasionally from a remote location where only mobile connection is possible and a *single* tower (with multiple cells, but facing different directions, so I can't switch) serves a pretty big area and from my valley that single tower is the only one I can co...
> It says for this exact device: LTE Category 6 (300Mbit/s Downlink, 50Mbit/s Uplink) > LTE CAT6 should suffice getting 100mbit DL That's not how LTE works. Let's go through 2 examples of real world scenario, not marketing: General information: - MIMO can provide bandwidth multiplied up to the amoun...
> With "pro" equipment you need to change 100000 settings and it still doesn't work well However that is true in general for Mikrotik’s functions like routing, firewalling or WiFi, and that’s where Mikrotik shows its strength, I can’t really agree on that for LTE. The amount of settings is...
Which device is LHGGR? - LHG LTE kit - LHG LTE6 kit - LHGG LTE6 kit - LHG LTE18 kit Do you have CA working (if you have a device supporting it)? MIMO? CQI? The parameters you've provided are not enough. Please do /interface/lte/monitor 0 once and show us everything from primary-band and belog. And d...
Hello, I have an UPS APC Back-UPS BX1200MI which has an USB port which I have connected with a 5m USB cable to Mikrotik hAP ac^3. The UPS is always shown properly in /system/ups but it seems that somewhere between 10 and 15 minutes after connecting it the monitored parameters stop refreshing. [admin...
I'm using a similar setup and it works just fine. However with some differences: - Management is for me the plain Ethernet link, data is on VLAN. If something goes wrong it must be possible to plug in a computer and access the LTE router. I don't think that would work on a pass-through interface, ev...
Good evening, I'm trying to figure out the difference between using bandwidth limit of queue simple and queue type cake. Let's consider this very basic scenario without any limits and any real configuration: /queue type add kind=cake name=Cake_Down add kind=cake name=Cake_Up /queue simple add name=L...
I don’t have the Zyxel router anymore, at that location I’ve decided to keep Mikrotik LHG LTE18 instead due to signal strength. But maybe I still can help. First thing to check is if the Zyxel router’s APN configuration set to request dual stack? Is the APN itself a type that will have the ISP provi...
I've seen somebody hinting at carrier aggregation compatibility issues with some mobile operators. For me personally the SCCs were showing up but would never receive any traffic. Other people complained on SCCs not ever even showing up. After reducing the version of RRC protocol, CA works fine. Mayb...
I'd go even a step further: LHG 5G. I have a very remote location where 5G is available on band n1 but with pretty weak signal. Mikrotik LGH LTE 18 got me better speeds and more stable link than Zyxel NR7101 with LTE Cat. 20 and 5G but "only" a 10dBi antenna.
I can answer my own question, but only partially. I have now a setup with a home network with a few Mikrotik devices serving as APs and one hAP ac³ serving as a router. As for the Internet access I'm testing 2 devices: Mikrotik LHG 18 and Zyxel NR7101. So far I have managed to make the setup work wi...
I'm running a network in a remote location comprised of some Mikrotik APs, wAP R ac with LTE cat 4 modem, and hAP ac^2 as the central switch and AP. I'm looking to replace the wAP R ac LTE with something else, probably Mikrotik LHGG. But I'm also looking for non-MT devices for the LTE modem/router f...
I got bad experience using low LTE class devices thinking that they already provide the throughput they need. In my case it was WAP with R11e-LTE at which provides LTE Category 4. In theory the provided bandwidth of 150Mb/s would be just fine for my use case. But the bandwidth of 150Mb/s is the maxi...
> The only real solution probably is to do, like in IPv4, NAT between a fixed local network address and the dynamically assigned prefix of the day. No, it's not. The proper solution is readdressing of the network. If you still need some internal communication, you have Link-Local addresses - your pr...
