I am having problems accessing my website using their URLs (http://www.mysite.com) from the internal LAN. Is it possible to setup a local loopback to fix the problem?

2 EOIP tunnels using single gateway

I have setup 2 EOIP tunnels using 2 different DSL connections, even though both tunnels are working fine it appears they are only using one of the DSL connections because each DSL connection is from the same ISP and have the same gateway address. Is there a way to force each tunnel down different co...

Just set you modem to bridged PPPoA as per http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php ... ight=pppoa.

It works for me using a normal Linksys modem.

Bonding different speed connections

I know that you can bond connections of different speeds but I am pretty sure it is only possible to get them to perform x times the slowest connection. Would it be possible to change the system so that it works like multi path so that you can add a connection twice if it is faster therefore giving ...

I am trying to create an IPSec tunnel between a MT router and a Checkpoint firewall. I have entered the following details in the MT router but the tunnel is not being initiated. Nothing is in the log file even though I have got both IPsec and IKE logging on. I have checked initiating the tunnel from...

The instructions look fine but I suggest you add a note that if you drop invalid connections on your firewall it will not work. Drop invalid connections is recommend in the FAQ on "Securing your router" so I expect quite a few people will be doing it.

I have created an EoIP tunnel between an x86 router and a Routerboard router. They have different MACs but the same tunnel ID and I have assigned an IP to each tunnel. PPTP

I am trying to setup a PPTP connection to a VLAN interface. Using a Windows XP computer I can connect using PPTP and ping the router but not any computers on the VLAN. I guess this is becuase the PPTP connection does not have the VLAN tagging.

Does anybody have VLAN and PPTP running together?

That is fine but it doesn't take into account that the gateway router is in the same building and so you will get a ping reply even every state unless the power is lost.

I expect a lot of people will have this scenario where the backhaul provider provides a router.

If you read the docs for v2.9 it uses forward and mark-connection and mark-packet to mark P2P traffic.

When you say "very fast" I assume downloads are still limited to the max of one adsl line i.e. 2mbps. I am also interested in what amout of your traffic uses the web proxy, on our network only a small part of the traffic is HTTP.
