The instructions look fine but I suggest you add a note that if you drop invalid connections on your firewall it will not work. Drop invalid connections is recommend in the FAQ on "Securing your router" so I expect quite a few people will be doing it.

Ok I have fixed the problem. I was dropping invalid packets, when I disabled the firewall EoIP started working as expected.

I am trying to setup a PPTP connection to a VLAN interface. Using a Windows XP computer I can connect using PPTP and ping the router but not any computers on the VLAN. I guess this is becuase the PPTP connection does not have the VLAN tagging.

Does anybody have VLAN and PPTP running together?

That is fine but it doesn't take into account that the gateway router is in the same building and so you will get a ping reply even every state unless the power is lost.

I expect a lot of people will have this scenario where the backhaul provider provides a router.

If you read the docs for v2.9 it uses forward and mark-connection and mark-packet to mark P2P traffic.

When you say "very fast" I assume downloads are still limited to the max of one adsl line i.e. 2mbps. I am also interested in what amout of your traffic uses the web proxy, on our network only a small part of the traffic is HTTP.
