Re: 3 subnet or just 2? Could you help me?

Thanks for your answer.
One of the main problem is that I have like 80 devices (including all of the IOT apparels), so 80 reservation is a pain.
Bit it's still a good idea.
Do you think that changing subnet would not be useful?
I did not understand the mDNS relay usage.
Thx

3 subnet or just 2? Could you help me?

In another post I learned how to split wan traffic based on LAN address. Now, after some test, I would like this configuration. 1 - LAN with cabled PC 2 - LAN with cabled servers 3 - WLAN with tablets, phones, a couple of laptop and my 2 WiFi printers. I thought to give 192.168.10.0/24 to 1st LAN, ....

HAP AX3: Router off if switch attached to port 1

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my new HAP AX3. If I connect a switch or a router to port 1 (2.5 Gbps POE), the Mikrotik shuts down. There is no way to turn it back on. As soon as I unplug the cable, it turns back on. Do you have any idea what it could be? Should I try a hard reset? I have als...

Re: 3LANs to 3WANs are OK, but LAN to LAN is not

So the second/shorter one is more efficient because it only has to match one criteria! We can do this because the previous routing rules took care of any other destination address we were concerned about ( to the other local subnets ). All other traffic is fair game so any thing from source cannow ...

Re: 3LANs to 3WANs are OK, but LAN to LAN is not

The rules you have quoted there, WITH THE EDIT will work. The one previous that I had not so much. YOu dont need dst-address=0.0.0.0/0 in the routing rules......................... does no harm but makes no difference...... Let me understand. If I modify add action=lookup-only-in-table disabled=no ...

Re: 3LANs to 3WANs are OK, but LAN to LAN is not

Looks like I solved!!! This is the final configuration: /routing table add disabled=no fib name=useWAN10 add disabled=no fib name=useWAN20 /ip address add address=192.168.10.1/24 interface=ether2-LAN10 network=192.168.10.0 add address=192.168.20.1/24 interface=ether3-LAN20 network=192.168.20.0 add a...

Re: 3LANs to 3WANs are OK, but LAN to LAN is not

Moreover, it looks like the only rule really followed is
add dst-address=0.0.0.0/0 gateway=192.168.100.1 routing-table=MAIN
since I do not have connection on my clients if I disable that route.

I cannot understand. Everything is still going out thru the same interface. Even if I disable the dedicated routes, everything works fine. What am I mistaking? /interface bridge add name=WiFi-LAN30 /interface ethernet set [ find default-name=ether1 ] name=ether1-LAN10 poe-out=off set [ find default-...

Re: 3LANs to 3WANs are OK, but LAN to LAN is not

Assuming you are using three ports coming out of ISP router and plugging into 3 ports on the MT. That's exactly what I do This should work........ /routing rules add dst-address=192.168.100.81 src-address=192.168.10.0/24 action=lookup-only-in-table table=useWAN1 add dst-address=192.168.100.82 src-a...

Purely guessing, is modify the one rule....... add disabled=no distance=1 dst-address=0.0.0.0/0 gateway=192.168.100.1 \ pref-src="" routing-table=main scope=30 suppress-hw-offload=no \ target-scope=10 TO add disabled=no distance=1 dst-address=0.0.0.0/0 gateway=192.168.100.1 \ pref-src=&qu...

Ok, now it should work... but it does not. I cannot browse the Internet. These 2 routes are RED: https://i.ibb.co/KbNJFGg/mktik.png Here is the new configuration...

Re: 3LANs to 3WANs are OK, but LAN to LAN is not

Ok, I really cannot understand. I reduced to 2 my networks and I have: 192.168.100.81/24 192.168.100.82/24 that are the 2 WAN ports connected to my ISP router (192.168.100.1) Now something is not working again. Free is good! If that is what is coming out of the providers wifi, dont turn on MT wifi LOL. I do not need 1,7 Gbps on my phone 2 inches away from the router :-D No need to use mangles thus far.................. assuming vers7 firmware --- CUT --- /IP routes ( six required ) add dst-address=0.0.0.0...

Re: 3LANs to 3WANs are OK, but LAN to LAN is not

Once we see the config, it should be quick to fix.
I think I have to change it according to the advice you are giving to me in the other thread.
Anyway your first idea was correct: each users on each subnet should also be able to reach each other.
No restrictions.

Re: Is hAP ax² enough for 2WANs + 2LANs 1Gbps each?

Hahaha, that is showing 1.7 Mbps not 1800 Mbps................... More believable. :-) We are in Italy, we use point as separator. It is 1714 Mbps which is 1,7 Gbps. I am sending you a new speedtest... or a video if you prefer. I swear, it's almost 2 Gbps... it's a WiFi 6 5 Ghz connection @ 160 Mhz...

Re: Is hAP ax² enough for 2WANs + 2LANs 1Gbps each?

I ask about passthough since an ISP router still has a CPU, so if you don't bypass the LAN on the device, you may still be exposed to the router "bugs". But it is possible to do what you're asking – your two ethernet to same router. But it is going to result in a double-NAT if they're LAN...

Re: Is hAP ax² enough for 2WANs + 2LANs 1Gbps each?

I dont believe for a second you get 1800 on wifi. If you look at the product each radio is capable of 1200 max and thats typically two way, so around 600Mbps would be what you should see on an OOKLA speed test for example. Why should I lie? https://i.ibb.co/Ps2ZtcM/photo-2023-02-14-16-08-56.jpg I'm...

Re: Is hAP ax² enough for 2WANs + 2LANs 1Gbps each?

Is there anyway to pass on the public IP address from the MODEM part of the ISP device to the MIkrotik?? Thus far I dont see any solution to your issue because the PROVIDER is only giving you 2.5 down to their device but none of yours?? Not mantaining the 2,5 Gbps. I can use my own router, but they...

3LANs to 3WANs are OK, but LAN to LAN is not

Hi all, following online documentation and videos i managed to forward mi LANs to WANs. This is my config. ISP Router with 3 LAN ports. The 3 LAN ports are WAN ports on the Mikrotik. They have address: 192.168.100.10 192.168.100.20 192.168.100.30 The 3 LANs on my Mikrotik are: 192.168.10.1 192.168.2...

Re: Is hAP ax² enough for 2WANs + 2LANs 1Gbps each?

Well, I do not need something routing packet H24 ad the max speed. I could have to download a big file from my PC and another one from my NAS. I would like to reach the maximum speed I can without having to split it because of the lack CPU power. Moreover I have a couple of rules: 1 - LAN1 has to go...

Is hAP ax² enough for 2WANs + 2LANs 1Gbps each?

Hello everyone, my Internet provider gives me an FTTH connection with 2 Gbps download. The ports on my ISP's router are all 1 Gbps and the router itself has serious problems (it loses packets in LAN communication). So my idea was to put a MikroTik hAP ax² configured so that everything that comes fro...
