Re: "not responding" - f.k.a. SA Query timeout

The frustrating thing is that Mikrotik cannot resolve the problem that persists for so many months.

Eventually i bought a usb2ethernet adapter for my business laptop and a long 7 m ethernet cable on the floor to solve the problem.

What a shame really...

Re: v7.16 [stable] is released!

All my static leases for other Mikrotik devices got messed up after update to 7.16. Switches and APs .Looks like the MAC on the bridges got reset somehow. Read again the whole patch note and could not find anything about this. Then again, I just woke up so I could be a bit slow. If you update remot...

Re: SA Query timeout

If 7.14.3 works, why Mikrotik just revert the relevant drivers to that state until they figure out what is going on? STOP feature development and start bug fix guys... simple as that... What is the meaning of moving forward to 7.17 or 7.18 if we cannot connect with our business laptops to wifi? HP a...

Re: SA Query timeout

Agree with @MrRobotdev, but could you just post your WiFi Adapter type? Most Lenovos come in lots of different variants with possibly different WLAN chipsets. My Lenovo YogaPro 9 can be added to the list. It has the latest drivers installed and has no issues with TPLink Omada, Unify, Cisco APs usin...

Re: SA Query timeout

@normis You asked for my support ticket regarding the SA query timeout and the inability to connect different business laptops to wifi since 7.15 version. Some expert users have found the problem and MIkrotik still in 7.17 beta version has no fix. Really? Take a Lenovo L13 laptop and setup a wifi wi...

Developers of Mikrotik

There are so many AP AX that are unusable in 5G because of SA query timeout, and you have just reword this?

Are you serious?

Do not complain that for the market share of Ubiquiti in Wifi... unacceptable for months not to be able to connect my business laptop to wifi

Re: SA Query timeout

Unfortunately the problem reappeared after 2 days on WPA3 only. So i really dont know what the solution would be...

Thats why nobody recommends Mikrotik for WiFi - AP... this is a major problem, not be able to connect steady one laptop

Re: SA Query timeout

I had the same problem with hap ax2 only with my win10 laptops. No problem with mobiles.

I was using WPA2 and WPA3.

When i select only WPA3, problem disappeared.

Probable works with only WPA2.

Not an expert to know the details why this is happening but right now i have zero problems.

Re: VLAN On Main Router + 2 HAP

After you have finished all of that enable vlan filtering to the bridge of the router and haps After I turn on bridge filtering, HAP becomes unavailable. At router 5009 First go to interfaces and create 3 new interfaces with the names vlan10, vlan20 and vlan30 that will belong to the same bridge as the ethernet ports Create addresses, dhcp pools, networks and dhcp servers for EACH of these new itnerfaces. I have upgraded my RB4011, hap ac2 and hap ax2 without any issues so far. No reboots, nor memory leaks, all stable. I chose to stay with the legacy drivers for hap ac2 because of limited resources of the machine and because i am too lazy to create all my wifi interfaces from scratch. It will be conv...

Re: dhcp addresses for hikvision cameras

Onvif is pretty much standard in cctv, it enables you to connect cameras from one vendor to network recorder of another vendor because many, if not all of them use their proprietary protocols (Hikvision have their protocol, Bosch have their) But ONVIF shouldn't affect network settings. One more thi...

Re: dhcp addresses for hikvision cameras

Well, good description of the setup, but still very difficult to know (guess) what is happening. Just some thoughts. - static IP addresses (leases) in DHCP do not work if that client device, or another device in the network, already has that IP address (My usual mistake, give a device some fixed IP...

I have no other option but to leave it as it is. I am trying to understand though what is the problem. It is also DC at the side of the entry, which...

Re: dhcp addresses for hikvision cameras

Then this could mean that your client device or your cameras in this case doesn't request an IP address from DHCP server and server is waiting for request. What happens when you reboot camera ? It should request address from dhcp server. I have rebooted them and they keep their IPs but at the route...

dhcp addresses for hikvision cameras

My router is an RB4011. I bought a hikvision DVR to view and record from my Tapo C320WS IP cameras. After that i integrate the cameras through ONVIF to HIKVISION recorder using the IPs that ...
