If you have not already done so, I would open a support ticket with Mikrotik, work with the support team and if the "root cause" is not found quickly, then ask your local distributor to escalate the ticket to make sure it is taken seriously.

Now, I know it isn't fasttrack, but isn't L3 hardware routing dependent on fasttrack? I really think they are close...

There is no hardware MPLS support in RouterOS v7 at this point.

My experience is that Mikrotik support are very responsive at the moment. Particularly to WiFi and Routing related tickets.

It will be quite hard to achieve consistent performance using software bridging / virtual NIC's (vmxnet3), where with PCIe Pass-Through it will be easy.
