RB532 failed boot - SOLVED BUT would appreciate further tips

YEP, Netinstall with PXE boot fixed it!!! Many thanks - that's saved me around £100... Also, I upgraded an old RB133C from 5.8 to 5.26 with netinstall and PXE boot - it would not take the .npk file by simply copying it to the board in 'files' and rebooting, but the PXE boot wrote the new 5.26 to the...

Re: RB 532 failed boot

Thanks, I will try this...

I am not very hopeful, however - you will see the failed boot in my first post, and the fact the system halts when trying to load the program.

However, the action of powering on and holding the reset key may work and enable me to get the OS into the NAND.

Many thanks!

Re: 3 line MLPPP working; but speed issue

MLPPP on adsl lines is very dodgy, even great adsl lines... I tried it on aDSL max lines and on two 8 meg lines got only a little increase in speed. 10 megs or so. MLPPP was designed i believe for isdn. The least lack of symmetry between the lines can really mess up the speed. I took the same lines ...

Hitek, I can't see how it is noise related.. One link that drops and reconnects is (as I said) a 50 metre or less link, for test and assessment - with -50 dBm or better signal and hence S/N will be at least 40 dB and probably nearer 50 dB. And it is a) on the less used 5.8 GHz band and b) in a very ...

These dropouts occurs on:

Test 50 metre link set to 54 MBits/s. Signal level -50 dBm or better - ie S/N at least 40 dB !!!!

Real 1 mile link (signal -72 to -78 dBm) allowed to vary rate.

supout.rif files sent for both rc 2.9 and rc 2.10
Hope this helps you to fix it.

Hi all, I have searched the wireless manuals and this forum and found **some** information on CCQ (connection quality in %). What I would like to know is, what is an acceptable value.
