Greetings to all ! I have been trying unsuccessfully to get Cisco VPN client ver 4.x running on a win XP machine to connect to an RB450 with l2tp/ipsec. I was getting timeouts (on 2.9) and i found out that port 443 needs to be open for the update to work.

To answer my own question

After a bit of sniffing i found that for dns-update to work correcltly port 443 needs to be open, or the replies from changeip never get back
