Re: DHCP Server setup without WAN [SOLVED]

Just avoid port ether1 that usually set as WAN in default config. All the other stuff should work without any issue.

Re: How to run IPv6 from starlink on a mikrotik?

Maybe it is time to post the export of the configuration?
I m a couple of day away ... I will then do it. It is a little bit more that just ipv6 there. Dual WAN, VLAN segregated, one routing over rb5900 (starlink) and one over opnsense. Multiple other remote subnet over wireguard :(.

Re: How to run IPv6 from starlink on a mikrotik?

I probably give up with the ipv6 mikrotik dhcpserver. Local link IP are distributed / advertised but dhcp seem to not like my setup. I got two VLAN1 one where an dhcpd server work from another server (opnsense) and the one (VLAN2) where I should get the mikrotik dhcp server run. It just don't ... ma...

Re: How to run IPv6 from starlink on a mikrotik?

I hazily remember I had to reboot the router after assigning the global address to the LAN interface in order that SLAAC would start working hmm, ok - i will then try all the stuff on another lab router, before i broke something. Reboot after each change is not really nice :) 2) normal LAN hosts ha...

Re: How to run IPv6 from starlink on a mikrotik?

Kudos to @sindy, great support. I got the pinging working, with adding default route to fe80::200:5eff:fe00:101 link local, that is for me a little bit magic. Is this something specific to starlink router that always use this ip or is general in ipv6. Now i m struggling with the setting of clients i...

Re: How to run IPv6 from starlink on a mikrotik?

hmm, i didn't get it. Let's try to explain my plan with a pic (attached). I have my prefix 2a0d:3344:1234:ab00::/56 . on the wan of the router. Now I would like to redistribute with a dhcpserver on my router in the LAN a subnet 2a0d:3344:1234:ab01::/64 . I have now two issue. Would be nice to ping t...

Re: How to run IPv6 from starlink on a mikrotik?

Hi, thanks for the good advices here, i got the prefix from my starlink - issue is firewall rule by default limit the port udp/546 from fe80::/10, that block the incoming add.

Now i m struggling with dhcpdIPv6 setup. Where is RA in routerOS ?

Re: ipv6 address in DDNS

You don't need NAT with ipv6 , you normally get a /64 or /52 prefix that is enough for all your connected devices.

Ok, i will do it ... at the moment the switch is working but fully broken, no reboot possible, unistall of package is not possible anymore. I m too lazy (and not on site) to netinstall it... will solve the problem but :( -- so now more the capsman and then provide ticket. I m lucky this switch ist n...

Re: echo: system, error, critical could not save configuration changes, not enough storage space available.

ok, is strange, because same config on other CRS326-24G-2S+ with same config still have space left. Is disk a special part of memory, or could be possible to shrint memory and expand disk ? CAPsMAN is absolutly indifferent where is installed ... traffic is not routing there. Let's move it to RB5009U...

Re: CCR2004-1G-2XS-PCIe Problems

At least on 7.17, the card honors what you ask it to advertise as part of auto negotiation. If you are getting no link when pairing with a 10G device, remove the 25G options from what the interface on the CCR2004-1G-2XS-PCIe advertises and it will link. I m running now 7.16.2 and i still not reboot...

On device like SXT LTE6 kit would be a very good improvement. I run i some trouble of SIM not surviving extreme winter/summer temperature and humidity.

Re: CCR2004-1G-2XS-PCIe Router - No Access, No Reset Possible Via Netinstall, No LED, Maximum Continuous Ventilation

I have only experience with linux, but I would try a reset and a new netinstall.
Try to be patient and see the result of netinstall.
Card should be then come up again in the default configuration, sfp1 and 2 in passthrough mode and ether1/2 in Bridge mode as admin.

eSIM roadmap

Hi,
There is some roadmap, plan for support of eSIM ?
For SXT LTE would be a very nice improvement, I already experienced issues with the physical SIM, some are very difficult to operate in extreme weather ... and such antennas are most of the time in places that are not so easily reachable.

I had the same issue after upgrading to v7.14. I had to use Netinstall and the reset switch on the card to downgrade back to 7.13.5 to get stability back under Proxmox. How did you put the card in netinstall mode ? Really have to open the server and press the non existent reset button, with screwdr...
