Re: The IP of the bridge is occasionally unavailable [SOLVED]

For which management purposes? Management by who? By the switch chip?

Re: The IP of the bridge is occasionally unavailable [SOLVED]

Finally i found the error. I had some VLANs configured in the Interfaces / VLAN tab, as soon as i deleted all VLAN configurations in that tab the ping was giving me stable responses. I have all VLANs configured in the Bridge, so that should do the magic. i don't know why i had the VLANs there, maybe...

Re: The IP of the bridge is occasionally unavailable [SOLVED]

Thank you guys for your support! I really appreciate it :) but the issue still persist :( And anything on the ethernet interfaces? ..RX or TX Pause, Error, Underrun, Collision, .... etc All interfaces show no RX/TX drops or errors in the Interface List. CRS328 has 1 or 2 cores (depending on ROS vers...

ah sorry - this was a screenshot from a wrong switch. i cross-checked the behaviour of the ping and the mac-address configuration with a different device, this was a hAP ac^3

Re: The IP of the bridge is occasionally unavailable [SOLVED]

To the topic: so basically your core switch doesn't respond to every ping sent at, regardless of where it was sent from. So it might be something about core switch IP configuration (or it might actually be overloaded ... run CPU profiler and see if that might be the case). CPU total is about 16-24 ...

Re: The IP of the bridge is occasionally unavailable [SOLVED]

Is it normal that the first interface has the same mac as the bridge?

if i ping the mac of the bridge of the core switch i receive double the amount of packages than i have sent, isn't that weird? :)

The IP of the bridge is occasionally unavailable [SOLVED]

Hi, This is my setup: 2024-12-18_10h45_38.png All switches are connected with 1gbit to the core switch. The problem is, from my PC, connected to "Buero-Dennis" the ping to the bridge looks like this: 2024-12-18_10h46_41.png I just checked the VLAN configuration if there is a loop, i would ...

Re: Interface wifi2_5ghz(): High error rate (>2 for 5m)

Ok, i tried a configuration without CAPSMAN and then i had no TX Drops (i applied the 7.16.x rc firmware on the AC device). I only have those TX Drops/errors on the AC device, not at the AX devices. So it is not related to clients that means to me that the problem is related to the AC driver or devi...

Re: Interface wifi2_5ghz(): High error rate (>2 for 5m)

It is not related to a wifi client. If i swap this device with the position of one of my hAP ax³ it still produces high Tx Drops. I have the feeling this is somehow related either to CAPsMAN or a bug?

Re: Interface wifi2_5ghz(): High error rate (>2 for 5m)

Btw. is that normal the multiple VLAN definitions for the same VLANs?

The ones with comments are created by me upfront, during the bootstrapping of the switch.

Please read the whole topic before reporting missing features
This is exactly why i suggested to have an idea blog. It's more easy to read and follow than forcing everyone to read through a complete thread.

Re: 📣 WinBox 4 is here 📣

I would suggest to have some kind of idea blog to make idea more transparent with features like:
* Voting for ideas
* Commenting on Ideas
* giving Ideas a status to see if it's decided to be implemented in the future.
Easier to follow and to read vs a thread with repeating ideas :)

Re: Interface wifi2_5ghz(): High error rate (>2 for 5m)

I'm going to wait for the 7.16 stable release and look for it. Besides of that stats i don't see any disturbance in the wifi service in the clients at all. So this error is for me more like a information severity :)

hmm interesting,
so even if it would be drops. What cause that high drops on a wifi interface, poor connection?

Re: Interface wifi2_5ghz(): High error rate (>2 for 5m)

I updated all devices to 7.15.1
The problem still exists. And after some reboots caused by the firmware upgrade, the interface which is causing the trouble is now the 2ghz interface instead of the 5 ghz interface. Could it be caused by a client?

Re: Interface wifi2_5ghz(): High error rate (>2 for 5m)

Oh wait - could it be because the CapsMan device CRS328-24P-4S+ version 6.48.6 didn't bootet the v7 firmware? I had a power outage yesterday, maybe that is related to that. I gonna check it and share the results.

Interface wifi2_5ghz(): High error rate (>2 for 5m)

Hi, once i have setup zabbix monitoring in my homelab i recognized some error: Interface wifi2_5ghz(): High error rate (>2 for 5m) If i look into the Wireless access point i see in the "Traffic" tab at "Tx/Rx Errors" a raising number >200.000. The device is a RBD53iG-5HacD2HnD (h...

Re: CAPsMAN is not CAPsMAN

Generally, Wifi CAPsMAN is meant for 802.11ax devices, and devices that are compatible with wifi-qcom-ac package if you install it. Wireless CAPsMAN is for controlling CAPs that use Wireless package. Thank you for your quick response. Am i right that my `living` device is not compatible with wifi-q...

CAPsMAN is not CAPsMAN

Hi, i am playing around with CAPsMAN, because i'm a fan of configuration management. I have seen in some article that CAPsMAN v1 is not compatible with CAPsMAN v2 and vice versa. But how do i know which version i have? This is my scenario: Name: Core Model: CRS328-24P-4S+ (arm) Name: Cave Model: hAP...

Re: hAP AX3 5G range troubleshooting

Hi, i have a similar issue, back in the days i bought a bunch of MikroTik rb951ui-2nd and i was quite happy with them. Then i needed some more bandwidth so i decided to replace them with a bunch of C53UiG+5HPaxD2HPaxD. I realized that some clients are not connected, after some searching i found this...
