High Temperatures and MicroSD

I know the 450G high temperature issue has been discussed before. My experience is yes it runs hot - but seems operationally stable. According to the routerboard (you can telnet in to the temperature sensor) it runs at a consistent 70 to 71C. It is in a rack in an air conditioned room. I see no temp...

Re: RB493

Can more than 1 switch be created on a rb493? Example, can 2-5 be one switch, and 6-8 be a different switch? Or, can only one switch be created on a rb493?

I'm glad the product is now shipping.

Re: New products at Egypt MUM?

I'm replying to bump this to the top.

How about an update from Mikrotik? RB600 news? RB1000? RB411? It has been totally silent since MUM....

I'm looking forward to an update.

Good question - I wasn't sure and I I just tried it. It does - WDS Slave works fine on a 133c!

Re: Xtreme Range2 802.11b/g 600 mW mini-PCI

XR2 performs good but not as expected.. Noise floor is the highest (-99dbm) on the XR2.. Where usually I have -92...

-99 is LESS noise than -92, not more.

Re: RouterOS v2.9.45 is out!

2.9.45 is a great update. I was able to work around the previous wireless problems, but the new .45 code came right up and connected with all my sites instantly (prims and atheros).

Thank you!

Re: RouterBOARD 333 AND RouterBOARD 1000 - a preview ?

It's the last day of July. Which distributors have received the RB333? None, as far as I can tell. I remain a loyal fan and user of Mikrotik product - it makes my network better. It is an excellent product and I sincerely look forward to the new Routerboards. But I wish their public relations and m...

Re: Q2 over in 3 days

Better to get a working product than a product that has been pushed out too soon because MT had to live up to a roadmap.. I think a month or 2 and i think it will be ready together with RouterOS V3 final.. Sure, I'd rather have a working product too. Your guess may be right, but it is a guess. But ...

Yeah, I saw that. But I still have the same questions, and it would be great if you could sum it up:

What is the advantage of the XR2 vs an SR2 on 802.11b, or 802.11g?

The receive specs are the same? If so...is it just the 600mw vs 400mw (about 1.5db I'd guess).

Hi Mike from Ubiquiti. Thank you for making great products like the SR2 - the SR2 with Mikrotik is a great combination.

With all due respect, what logic is it to expect that MUM attendees will make Mikrotik product announcements?

You know the information - may I presume you were at MUM.

Please - your customers are frustrated. By your avoiding the subject I'm beginning to wonder if the news isn't bad?

Can someone post what was actually announced at MUM? I presume it is public info after the announcement - it seems we have guessed enough here.

New Routerboards?

I've read hints on this board about new Routerboards - one a more powerful board that the 532 (this would be great), the other a Routerboard with wireless built in for a true cost effective CPE (the 112 plus a wireless card is still a bit pricey). Any ideas from Mikrotik on when these might happen? ...

Use a MikroTik RouterBoard in an outdoor chassis - mount it with the antenna. Then - you will have a short coax run of just about 1 or 2 meters, and the 90 meter ethernet cable run to the RouterBoard won't matter. Running 2 Ghz or 5 Ghz signals through 90 meters of coax cable will NOT work well.
