We had similar problem. Upgrade your BIOS to 2.16 http://www.routerboard.com/files/rb-2.1 ... 3-2.16.fwf and switch CPU frequency to 266MHz. It should help.

5VDC connector is not used, because there is no 5V converter on the board (it is unloaded).

Looks like it had lightning strike or ESD on Ether1. You should send it to RMA.

RB333 is the only Routerboard with input voltage monitor yet.

Try to monitor system recourses via telnet or serial port without Winbox started. You will see the difference.
