Re: Starting with 10Gbe at home - CRS304-4XG-IN as option?

unfortunately changing the wiring in the house is no option right now. 6-8 Ports + an SFP+ uplink (like a hypothetical CRS-304-6XG-2S-IN or CRS-304-8XG-2S-IN) would be a great fit for me right now. The only thing that comes close is the CRS312-4C+8XG-RM, which is more than five years old. Is it like...

Starting with 10Gbe at home - CRS304-4XG-IN as option?

Hi, currently, I am very happy with my CRS326-24G-2S+RM. However, I'd like to upgrade some connections to faster speeds and thinking about how to extend the setup properly. What I want: mikrotik connect the following devices with speeds >= 5Gbe: my 3 Accesspoints (currently WIFI 6 AX, but should be ...

Re: NEW FEATURE: Back to Home VPN

It‘s not about being able to reach the media (even DNS works fine). The question is about performance of routing between the different ip ranges for large amounts of data like 4k streams

Re: NEW FEATURE: Back to Home VPN

thx for the clarification! if I wanted to stream some videos from my media server via BTH while being on vacation for example, my CRS-326 would need to route all packages from 10.0.0.0/24 to 192.168.216.0/24, correct? I have no experience with hardware offloading and routing so far, but would that b...

Re: NEW FEATURE: Back to Home VPN

my private Network uses 10.0.0.0/24 as address range. When I connect via BTH my device gets a 192.168.216.0/24 address. This implies that requests needs routing, and I need to update some firewall rules. Would it be possible that BTH users will just get a 10.0.0.0/24 address, as if they were "...

Re: Back to home (iOS): Connection refused

To create the Back to Home VPN tunnel, you have to connec to your home router's WiFi network from inside your house, then open the BTH app, provide the router login and password and follow the steps in the app. It will open up the access to your device during this process. Only after that you can a...

Re: Back to home (iOS): Connection refused

I use RouterOS.
I haven’t created a VPN or changed any other settings because, according to the wiki, that shouldn’t be necessary.

Since I can access the web interface via the IP address on my phone using a browser, I would have assumed that the app should also have the appropriate access.

Back to home (iOS): Connection refused

Hi, I'd love to try the Back to Home Feature. Therefore, I downloaded the app, entered my router IP (10.0.0.1) and my admin credentials - but after some seconds I get an error "connection refused". Mikrotik: CRS326-24G-2S+ Version 7.17 (stable) Mobile Phone: iPhone 16 pro Back to Home App ...
