RB532 European supplier wanted

Hi

I am based in the UK and I want to get hold of 2 x RB532 + Indoor cases. I know Mikrotik have a few weeks stock delay so I am looking for a supplier in Europe (Preferably the UK) who has them in stock, ready to dispatch. Can anybody help?

Cheers

Joe

Are the gigawords only sent in RADIUS accounting messages once they exceed the 4gb wrap-around, you'll then get a 1 gigaword + the remainder.

I use RADIUS & Mikrotik fine, and accounting works well beyond 4gb (this is with Radiator RADIUS)

Store the user parameters in a database (mySQL , PostGre etc). Get FreeRADIUS to get the attributes (Xmit-limit) from the database table and pass them to Mikrotik in the access-accept message. When the session ends, Mikrotik will send an accounting-stop message to RADIUS, take the bytes contained in...

I think he may mean a wireless router which has a built-in PPPoE client which connects on the wireless interface. Most of the wireless routers on the market don't support a PPPoE connection on the wireless, only on the WAN/Ethernet port. D-Link make a particular model that does it, and I'm sure you ...

Hi Vadim that's one method I was going to use. I'd certainly say http(s) is more simplistic to implement and doesn't require knowledge of socket programming or a requirement to call external programs. I'd also say that having a well defined http application protocol perhaps using XML would be more r...

I've just finished a similar solution based on RouterOS, RADIATOR Radius and MS SQL server. For each user in the database they have a maximum uptime column which records their proposed uptime in seconds. When they begin a session I set the timeout value to match this uptime. When they logout there i...

The Barracuda SPAM firewall has a similar implementation. Personally I'd be quite happy just passing raw commands and getting the response back. Of course it'd only be usable if the response was in a uniform format so that you can parse it. I haven't tried the web interface in 2.9 so I'll give that ...

Suggestion : Web API

Something I'd like to see on RouterOS is the ability to access the inner workings via the web server. Even if it was something as basic as providing a URL "http:///myMikrotik/cmd/cmd.cgi" where the admin could POST or GET console commands to that specific page, the script would then return...

Hi Normis - I read that particular RFC a while back but didnt find many NAS devices that supported it (or, it wasnt well advertised).

So from my RADIUS server I could send a CoA message with some new attributes and the Mikrotik would honour these attributes and adjust the connection as appropriate?

PPPoE Security - Prevent 'rogue' PPPoE servers

Hi All I've been playing with the PPPoE server functionality on the Mikrotik and I'm very impressed. I currently operate a hotspot via a Cisco1200 but I'm planning on adding an additional SSID and connecting this to the PPPoE interface on the Mikrotik. Everything is working as expected and I'm very ...

telerad - I want to achieve something similar. What steps did you take to get the information back from PHP to the hotspot login? Did you just write a custom form which posts the information back to the hotspot servlet?

Hotspot/PPP Subscriber caps

Hi All I've developed a system utilising Mikrotik, Radiator and MS SQL server to manage hotspot and PPP clients. It works in a similar manner to the Mikrotik hotspot manager. The one thing I'm trying to work out is to see if there is a way I can "refresh" the RADIUS attributes mid-session....

Hotspot with PPTP support

Hi All I've got the Hotspot up and running talking nice to Radiator RADIUS and all is well. I'd like to provide PPTP VPN access to the Mikrotik box from the public-hotspot wireless network to provide a level of security. What I'd like is that users on the wireless hotspot can PPTP to the Mikrotik bo...
