Using Mikrotik in Antarctica?

I am looking to bid on a project that would require wireless in Antarctica. The temperature there can get as cold at -90 degrees Fahrenheit. Can Mikrotik's handle that kind of cold?

Specifying L2TP Port

Is there any way to change the L2TP link establishment from port 1701 to port 80? I have looked all over and can't seem to find an answer.

Re: OSPF Design question/problem

All the M5's are running v5.3.5. I have a pair of M5's back hauling a segment of my network and was receiving constant ospf error. Nothing I tried seemed to help. When UBNT release v5.5 I read the release notes and one of the problems it fixed was a hanging problem. I upgraded the problem M5 link a...

Can't view the CCTV DVR

I replaced an old Linksys router with an RB450. Everything works wonderfully except the camera system (which work fine with the Linksys). I have a Talon DVR with 8 cameras and now I can't see the cameras on the LAN or remotely. Here are my NAT rules for the DVR. chain=dstnat action=dst-nat to-addres...

I am connecting two building for a client and he just told me there will be 6 VLANs needed for the remote building. I don't have a lot of experience with VLANs and I'm not sure about the config. Here is the setup:

I am using the DNS from the cable provider. I will change it and see if it makes a difference.

10 second delay on outbound traffic

I sent a 433AH with a Dbii 2.4 card to a client 400 miles away. He plugged it in and everything inside the network works perfect. The problem is a 10 second delay when opening a browser, sending a call, even trace route from the server. Once it connects it works fine. I have checked everything I can...

Re: Mikeotik AP with a Senao CPE will it work? Please tell me

Yes you can use a Senao CPE. I set up a 433AH with the R52H card for the AP and used an ECB-3220 in bridge mode. Worked great.
