Re: Dual Router Configuration Setup Assistance

I don't see a reason to complicate with Capsman, for one AP. To be honest, I tried Mikrotik wifi for many many years but I was not entirely happy with it. Since moving to TP-Link AP, uptime has been amazing, almost to the point I forgot about them. And they do VLANs just fine as well. If you would o...

Re: Routing VLAN to specific WAN using Policy Routing

That part from the manual is new to me. It could be right, it could be wrong, I expect the later, considering my setup works stand-alone with LTE interface VLAN. There are no brackets for wall mounting. But there are brackets for a rack mount.

I have this switch. You can bring internet to any of the ports, it just doesn’t care which port you use.

No issues, what voltage do you use to power this up and what is the loaded voltage at the unit?

Fiber selection

I know not much when it comes to fiber connections. RB5009 to CSS610, if I want to setup 10G fiber cable, distance from living room to man’s cave, about 10m, which modules do I need to buy? Preferable mikrotik. And cable, is that doubled? Multimode, single mode? Can be bought at lenght, ready made? ...

Do you test on cable, wifi, 2g or 5g? You might want to drop dns open resolver, why do you need that? To be part of ddos attacks? You’re one of the bad guys?

Routerboard 450 start up

I just bought an routerboard 450. I plugged power supply to it and a blue light is on.

How should I install OS on it? I received a CD with the package but I do not see how to connect and download the OS. Shall I use serial port or Ethernet port?

Any help will be great.
