I use RouterOS. I tried to switch to SNMP now and it works with it. So I can use SNMP. Is there any advantage of using RouterOS instead of SNMP or vice-versa?

I upgraded to 3.5 now and it's not updating again. All links show 0bps until I open settings of its Mikrotik device. When I close it, the update stops again.

Isn't there some setting to let it update automaticaly all the time?

I'm facing a problem looking exactly like this. My Dude server resides on PC (Windows XP) and local connections work well, outside connections through forwarded TCP port work unusably slow. The port-forwarding is done by Mikrotik ROS.

Any sugestion? Thx for help!

You can make it static - just do not provide the gateway IP address and provide only gateway interface. (The one which is created by PPPoE.)

If they are both on one router, just enable "check gateway" function on the main default route.

I don't know what happend but it's working now.. I'll set the production enviroment to this settings (now on static settings - no ospf) and I'll hope it'll work. Thank you for your help!
