Re: Suggestion

it would be nice if in winbox, after selecting the browse button, you could click on the column names and it would sort by it. \ Or maybe, have an preference box when you could set the default column to sort by. For me, 90% of the time it would be the "Identity" column. As far as I can tel...

Router OS 3.23 and Dude 3.3 --

I upgraded to Dude 3.3 from 3.2 Yesterday I upgraded Router OS from 3.22 to 3.23 and have a problem. In Dude, I have two mikrotik routers and the "link" between them. The link does NOT display traffic information. I downgraded to router os 3.22 and things are now back to normal. Question: ...

Re: Ping Local Problem

Actually I did turn off Windows firewall and antivius "Windows OneCare Live" And, the forum topic on "custom" probes and built-in probes don't seem that far apart. Looking thru the forums I found the "local problem" error message several places and never did find an &qu...

Ping Probe fails

I know this probably not the "right" forum for this question,
but I am hoping someone will answer.

I am running Dude 3.1 on Windows Vista machine and "ping" fails. "Local Problem" is the only hint.

Re: Ping Local Problem

More information: If I right-click on one of my devices on the network map and select tools, ping the "from" defaults to server and ping will fail. If I change the "from" to local, then everything works. Looking at the probe "Ping", the only choices for agent are "...

Ping Local Problem

I am running Dude 3.1 on my windows vista computer.

The ping command inside of Dude does NOT work. It says it is a "Local Problem"

Ping from the command line works just fine.

Any ideas?

P.S. I did search the forum and did not find the answer to my problem.

Re: Finding the best solution.

If HiSite A and HiSite B were access points running DCHP server,

is there a way for Wireless User 1 running winbox to connect

to the mikrotik router card for Wireless User 5 ?

I've broken our network into 5 access points with each ap being a DCHP server with 10- 20 users connected to each ap.

Re: Disk nearly full with no files

I am running Dude on a mikrotik router board and like you, could not export the settings.

I rebooted the mikrotik router and then the Dude export worked.

winbox from behind dhcp server to another dhcp server

I am working with a small network with 5 Access Points each running a DHCP server. Is there a way (using winbox) to access the client radios that are connected to a different AP/DHCP server? Right now, winbox browse shows the mikrotik clients connected to the same AP that I am connected to. I would ...

Re: How can I access a global variable on another router?

"
Tedious answer is to export out your variable to a file on Router1.
Then on Router2 fetch the file and import it to load your variable."

I have been reading the forum looking for how to do the above!!
How do you export one or two variables to a file?
