SIP VOIP optimization

Hello, I am trying to resolve a nagging problem with VOIP traffic. We use exclusively MK routers inside our entire network, and UBNT hardware for PxP and PxMP. About 5% of the time SIP calls no not initiate properly to our clients. A caller calling in to our of our SIP lines will hear either dead ai...

Re: CCR1016-12G Kernal Failure

Upgraded to ROS v6 RC12 yes. It caused a TON of kernal failures and random reboots. It's very buggy, at least with our config.

We purchased two CCR1036 as well and both do the same thing.

Re: PPPoe connections dropping at random intervals

Thanks, I will try a 450, I have one here collecting dust. So funny that a $60 product may fix the problem with a $600 one. I'll post my results.

Re: CCR1016-12G Kernal Failure

UPDATE - I gave up and went back to my RB1100AHx2. I'll wait until more solid firmware is available.

PPPoe connections dropping at random intervals

HELP! I can't figure this out, and I am going CRAZY!!! We have a small WISP setup with the following: - PPPoE router is a MK RB1100AHx2 v5.24 - Multiple APs that are UBNT gear - One PxP using tranzeo gear - MOST residential clients are UBNT radios in router mode, with PPPoE enabled - a few larger c...

CCR1016-12G Kernal Failure

Just got in two of these new units. We setup one as our PPPoE via RADIUS authentication router to replace an older MK x86 system that has been running for many years. The entire config from the old MK unit was moved over to the new one via /export command. Unit was read to go, running perfectly. We ...

Re: Port forward or Routing issue

i haven't no. i'll try that i guess. strangely, it was working at some point for many months, and then a few days ago it stopped? I've be changing nat rules in the last few days, and think that I must have changed something that broke the connection, but I can't see what I have done wrong?

x-forwarded-for, is it enabled on routeros web proxy

We are using a fortigate router for content filtering at the edge of our network. Is it possible to have a client connected via the Mikrotik web proxy to pass through the x-forwarded-for information in the packet header, so that our content filtering unit will see the traffic as coming from the clie...
