Re: PPPoE IP pools from RADIUS

Re: Xen: failed to copy files to image

Esxi cannot be integrated as part of RouterOS. It is known that free version of Esxi is working ok with RouterOS. been there done that (in my case keeping entire lower end server was to much power hungry), and i don't know who made centos image for Xen but there is and error made as module alias fo...

Re: Xen: failed to copy files to image

on x86, install 5.8 (or latest :) ) and try to see if you still have a problem. Then send supout.rif XEN problems will not be fixed ever. VmWare Esxi would be best but i tried to be cost efective since i have only need to keep freeradius and mysql services and that is more than enough for xen hyper...

Re: accounting local traffic

i was wondering could we use filters in pppoe profiles to exclude trafic toward some ip (local servers) when i say exclude traffic i mean like no simple queue nor counting amount of traffic toward that excluded ip.

Thanks,
and sorry for lack of sense and professional dictionary

Re: Web Proxy

MikroTik proxy does not have too much parameters, as squid offers you.
The best version is the latest MikroTik RouterOS 4.10 for the proxy.
i'll upgrade it to that version and post results at least my opinion not hardcore statistic data :)
thanks for reply

my bad, it seems that broadcast only accepts messages from ntp server, while unicast sends request to check time. No matter which mode u use it should work.

Re: more radio power, could compensate coax length?

Hi all. We use WLM54AG-20 radio. We tend to link the radio enclosure with antenna using a coax cable LMR400 for 1meter max to avoid too signal loss. But sometime is not easy to install the radio so close to the antenna (maybe in summer yes, but in winter....). What happen if I use a more powerful r...

Re: Usermanager only works in localhost

Start by verifying IP connectivity. Ping the user manager router from the RADIUS client. Use Torch on the target to check that the external IP is what you're expecting it to be. Then check secrets again. Then check the firewall on the server to make sure you're permiting RADIUS inbound. i manage to...

Re: Difference between basic and supported rates?

Basic rates are the one that device must be able to use on current tx/rx signal else it won't be able associate, supported rates on the other hand are speed rates that can be used to communicate as i was told , keep basic rates on b mode 1mb and a/g to 6mb and supportes as you think is needed.
