Re: Big problem with Option MiniPCIe HSDPA card on RB411U

My SIM is set up with Rogers in Canada so I set the APN
to "internet.com" via Winbox. Your carrier specific APN
can be found here: http://www.taniwha.org.uk/gprs.html

Re: Big problem with Option MiniPCIe HSDPA card on RB411U

I returned my card to Hong Kong & will try a new one in a few weeks. Success! :D I'm currently playing "I returned it - no you didn't" with the eBay seller goezshopping so I purchased an unlocked Option GTM378 from eBay seller eastar4. No luck with it at first so I upgraded to ROS 4.5...

Re: Big problem with Option MiniPCIe HSDPA card on RB411U

Hi Bomber67 - did you ever get anywhere with this problem? I am up to the exact same point. Tried different SIMs, power supplies, power inputs, settings, verified SIM with Cell Co, ROS versions, anything I could think of to no avail... Waiting for word back from the vendor but not expecting anything...

Re: ROS 3.xx and RB100 series

Glad it worked! I started off with Cisc*/Air*net and almost walked away from the business/industry because their products were so absolutely brain-dead non-functional (I still have some running and they are a constant source of trouble.) IMO, I wouldn't be so harsh on MT - I worked on a very similar...

Re: How is this possible? (high CPU with 3.4 on a RB230)

Thanks - here is a solution I came up with. I submitted
a support request which Mikrotik has poo-poo'ed it but it
worked for me:

Re: ROS 3.xx and RB100 series

Nothing like answering your own question... This might work for others too... Fortunately, having a variety of RBs (100s & 500s) of varying vintages, configurations, radio revisions (Atheros only - Engenius) it dawned on me that the only nodes with this problem had radios in them. I started tink...

Re: ROS 3.xx and RB100 series

I have a mesh of about 50 RB532s running a simple bridged wds backhaul with 3 client APs per node. All were running various versions of 2.9 no problem 0-20% CPU. I had a couple test nodes running 3.7 ok so I upgraded about half of my network to 3.7 and now the upgraded units run 80-100% CPU and rebo...

Re: How is this possible? (high CPU with 3.4 on a RB230)

Hi - I have a mesh of about 50 RB532s and recently upgraded a bunch of them to ROS3.7. On most (if not all) upgraded nodes, CPU usage has gone from 0-20% to 80%-100%. The network is a simple single path bridged 5.8GHz wds configuration with 3x 2.4GHz APs/VAPs per node. I'm considering downgrading al...
