Re: BGP / Configuration Sync

Announcing each /24 "just because" is a waste of resources in the global BGP table. Unfortunately, lots of orgs do this as a matter of practice, but ideally, only the minimum number of prefixes should be advertised in order to cover your routing policy. Prepend x6 to the opposite ISP will...

Re: BGP / Configuration Sync

So if I get this right, you want the traffic for the /24 to come via Provider 1, and everything else to come via provider 2. You also want everything to fail over to provider 1 if Provider 2 goes down. Okay - let's say that you have prefixes a.a.0.0/21 and b.b.0.0/22 The /24 is obviously going to b...

Re: BGP / Configuration Sync

Hello,
I currently have 2 peers, one with each provider, I want to separate in 2 CCR, one CCR for each provider.
Both CCRs will be separated by a wireless link, Should I do an iBGP between them to keep the fail over?

Regards

Re: The deal with change mss

Just updated whole my pppoe site to 6.39.2, you can forget about change-mss rules, it all is now nicely build-in into ppp interfaces, even with MRU now it works fine. Is not the following rule necessary? /ip firewall mangle add action=change-mss chain=forward new-mss=clamp-to-pmtu passthrough=yes \...

Re: Why source-based blackhole instead of firewall drop

When this is so efficient then it is may interesting to transparent for the users to use a different screen to input this. Since short we have the RAW option that should be more efficient but is not that much of a difference. So a user could enter this in the RAW section and an added "action&q...

Thank you very much!

To test this right. In my case I use a management software that works with mikrotik API.

I will see how to do in case you want to leave the two routers simultaneously.

Re: pppoe server problems

Try to get another CCR and divide the sessions. It is very unfortunate that 36 Core device cannot hold even 1000 PPPoE sessions properly. I hope they do something about it in the future. Thank you very much for your reply. to divide the traffic would have to pass the secrets to a radius server. I k...

Solved for now. As I got solution on trzepak.pl (here even no one answer), I applied keepalive-timeout off and keep care to there be no encryption on pppoe session. For now sessions keep up few days without any problems. Hello, your customers have Ubiquiti? I have disconnection problems with versio...

This is because both routes are received from different BGP instances. Re: RB1100 hits 100% cpu utilization in a pattern

Hi, I have a similar problem with my rb1100, with / profile tool. DNS is a load of up to 70% at times. This causes a few days ago the rb1100 is blocking and the only way to recover was by netinstall. 5.rc5 use version.
