janisk im brain stoming here but if it is fairly good i can see potential eg, if kvm down or not respond a fancy method to bring up a kvm on another host to bring up a backup guest

kinda like how vmware can bring up another host if the primary is down

For all that are interested You can install eg, centos on a Mac Mini then run KVM
and install Routeros and WAM you have the smallest Virtual machine :)

I now have a portable LAB :) I dont have any plans to install on any remote site but :P

I could be wrong but i think thats correct to assume that the CCR aggregate bandwidth, you could benefit from bonding if you could set that up, but since its a router on a stick, i assume that you have limited available cabling

while screenshot shows awesome resolution of your screen it does not tell exactly what is happening. First of - if you are running something in KVM, you can do just the same on host system, to see if that is load issue or something different since packets for guest are manged by host, then by guest...

It sounds like you got DDoS'ed hard. The BFD problems were due to the CPU going 100% constantly and not being able to keep up with BFD updates, and the OSPF peer went down as well because of the BFD fails. But the BFD failed only because of the DDoS. It was maxing out the gigabit port on my router....

for me it happened on x86. seemed like HDD was lost: no entries in /files, and admin's password reset to default. reboot - and everything is back :)

Ros 6.0rc6 x86 I have 30 KVM's running I run traffic generator to the bridge interface that they are all connected to just bench testing, I decided to enable a que on each interface to test, how the system handles 20mb/s traffic gen to the bridge interface, and apply a 10m/s QUE to each interface......

Traffic generator is good but it has a flaw that crash's the server in my case x86 5.22 when you stop and start traffic generator too many times in a short period it crash the box and un recoverable untill manual reboot of server today it happened again i literally started the traffic monitor waited...

do you have rip enabled or any other routing proticols ospf etc im taking a guess you have Rip enabled ? just untick all the box's and remove them or goto to terminal type routing > rip > export and paste it here the D in the routes means its dynamic which is usualy created by a routing protocol

inncom, why not just copy logs in plaintext form from the terminal? also, MRZ implied that we need logs from the ISP side too ...

Netcomm NB750 solves all these problems by binding any destination port via 443 to always use eg. WAN1 or WAN2 optional also some other options of wan1 first or wan2 first port 443 bind to a wan port tottal fixed everything if that can be fixed that simple like netcomm do that would be great for us ...

Just for kicks i got a feeling of how it works it logs the ip address and clients ip and saves that client to use a wan port for each ip they connect to.. eg. of problem if this is correct i have a multithreaded newsgroup client that conencts to 1 news server and downloads a sigle file multithreaded...

Yes i know about the ssl with online banking my netcomm router can specify a perticular route for port 443 ssl connections thats is easy fixed IM is UDP i think i never have a problem with IM in any way but im sure it can be fixed if we bind the IM to a wan port.
