Re: Call a webhook on dhcp allocation

It seems to be working intermittently - I guess there are some conditions which need to be met when a lease is renewed?

Re: Call a webhook on dhcp allocation

So this was quite simple... On mikrotik created new script named 'dhcp_lease_script' with the following content :global leaseBound :global leaseServerName :global leaseActMAC :global leaseActIP /tool fetch url="http://192.168.42.1/dhcp.php?bound=$leaseBound&mac=$leaseActMAC&ip=$leaseAct...

Re: Call a webhook on dhcp allocation

Doesn't seem too difficult. All the information about DHCP lease-scripting is here: https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:IP/DHCP_Server
You just need to write/test it using a "tool fetch" command.
Thanks... I somehow read right over the 'lease-script' section... can't believe it :)

Call a webhook on dhcp allocation

Hi Does anyone have any ideas on how to implement a web call at the time a DHCP IP address is allocated? For example, I might have a device configured on a static IP reservation so when it connects to the network it will always get this specific IP address. I want to know when the device connects/di...

Re: ESXi 6.5 U2 - Kernel panic on disk resize [SOLVED]

There seems to be something wrong with virtual disk in OVA. I normally download CHR in "raw disk image" format and then I convert it to vmdk myself. I don't exactly remember why, either there wasn't vmdk at the beginning at all, or there was some problem just uploading it to ESXi as bare ...

Re: ESXi 6.5 U2 - Kernel panic on disk resize

You need to resize the disk before powering on the VM for the first time.

It should automatically resize on the first boot.
Thanks, I thought of this also but tried it again just to make sure - the same result...

ESXi 6.5 U2 - Kernel panic on disk resize [SOLVED]

Hi, I installed Mikrotik CHR from ova file downloaded from Mikrotik's website. It seems to run perfectly fine until I want to change the disk size. From the console it says 'resizing disk' and then I get the attached image as an error in a continuous boot loop - any ideas? Edit: I tried it on Virtua...

Tried a different card reader?

I had this problem when I occidentally loaded xen package on a RB230 and netinstall couldn't read the card properly... after changing card reader everything worked fine.

Is anyone using this device with any success?

MT detects it and creates a ppp connection for it but I cant get it to connect to anything - How should the channels be configured?

Re: Spliting local and international traffic

I'm guessing the problem is related to the fact that when you host games your game will be listed on the index server using the ip address from which you connected (i.e. your intl) - when someone tries to connect they connect to the ip provided by the index/game server and when your xbox tries to re...

Re: Spliting local and international traffic

I would mark packets from the Xbox and force them out on the international connection. Then do port forwarding only on the international connection. Your Xbox will be visible on the international ip and all data to and from it will flow via that account irrespective the destination IP being local or...

Hi

Solution is to not use web proxy on MT but install transparent squid proxy which can already handle siblings.

I mean the configuration of sibling proxy which is willing to serve content it has on cache to another proxy server.

Currently MT 3.28 seems only to support parent or upstream proxy servers and not siblings/neighbors ? Or is there another way of achieving this....

Hi When I refer to the wiki I mean this page: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Routing_local_%2B_international_%2B_unshaped_traffic_through_3_separate_adsl_accounts It makes provision for three seperate accounts but you just ignore the third one. Seperate the physical network of your two adsl routers (...

Re: Spliting local and international traffic

I did the following:

1. Configure as per the wiki
2. Connect ADSL #1 into ether1 and ADSL #2 into ether2
3. Configure pppoe-out2 (the local one) to connect using ether2

No need to mark packets because the static routing takes care of the split.

Hi I've noticed there's a possible minor bug on MRU setting for PPPOE connections. I create a new PPPOE connection and force MTU and MRU to 1480 - This is necessary as the maximums for the WiMAX connection over which the PPPOE's connect. Once connected, if I go to the Status tab the software is repo...

I mean - look in the SDK PDF file, there is all you wanted to know about GPIO. From RouterOS you can't do anything with it.
Right - no way of compiling a binary, uploading it to the CF card and running/executing it from RouterOS?
