Re: How does one properly utilize MME with external links?

Douglas, So you are doing mesh on your interfaces (red, green, yellow, grey). What subnets are you running on these interfaces? Are you doing static routing or OSPF? What subnets do you have running on the two laptops? Are you bridging those blue interfaces, or routing them? Subnets on interfaces: ...

Re: Mikrotik and the Great MME Black Hole

Sir, this is an ongoing issue as noted within the forums here. Searching MME in the forum topic shows many examples of uses wanting to make use of Mikrotik MME but unable to deploy MME due to a lack of documentation and examples. http://forum.mikrotik.com/search.php?keywords=MME&terms=all&au...

Mikrotik and the Great MME Black Hole

Dear Mikrotik, The forums are ripe with members asking for help, guidance, and examples to properly implement MME and the requests go back multiple years. As there are no responses from Mikrotik or users documenting a working implementation of MME. One now needs to raise the question: does MME actua...

Mikrotik... in common parlance... WTF, over?

I posted this over a year ago and there is still no response. Do you support MME or not?

How does one properly utilize MME with external links?

We are trying to make use of many 450G's and external links to create a layer 3 mesh and are having NO success. (The purposes of our meshing are mobility and redundancy.) Please help us understand how to properly configure MME to enable this solution. (Yes, we have carefully studied the 2 wiki topic...

Re: OLSR Support?

Bump.

What is the status of OLSR support, please?

Sorry if this is an ignorant question, but if not OLSR, what other layer 3 protocol that can handle multiple wireless links going up and down, please? (We're in a very bad RF environment and have many redundant links which go up and down).

Thanks!

Re: First "ROUTEROS" Book Published

There is one point here to be made: how might we best approach the topics needed to help people learn RouterOS? Books do work and some of us still love paper (highlighting, notes in the margins, etc).

Re: First "ROUTEROS" Book Published

"In the meantime, are there any people here who would like to collaborate on an open document book for ROS?" Absolutely, please count me in on a FOSS book for RouterOS. The RouterOS technical documentation is really pretty good, but few people learn well straight from the technical documen...

Re: MME and Dynamic WDS Mesh?

Bump... I have not yet found any howto or setup instructions on using Mesh or MME for Mikrotik... just the vanilla documentation describing each component. For those of us trying to learn to use Mesh and MME this is like trying to learn to drive a car by reading the owners manual... it really is ver...

Re: Newbie Instructions for reseting 450G to factory defaults

Excellent, thank you. I will try shorting the hole. As for serial, I am having no luck... all I get it garbage. I have a null modem adapter hooked to a gender changer hooked to a serial to USB cable... not sure where the issue lies. Any particular brand / model number of null modem cable to purchase...

Newbie Instructions for reseting 450G to factory defaults

I just received my first mikrotik gear and my configuration seems to have made it not happy. How exactly do I reset it, please? I have tried pressing the reset button both during boot up and while on but to no avail. Please help.
