but i want to know why i should use MSS = 1360 ?

on the ethernet default MTU = 1500, on the PPPoE default MTU = 1480

strange problem on RouterOs

i have 2 subnet going to the Internet throught routeros. one subnet use pppoe to connect and other use standart connection ( ethernet). all is OK for subnet using pppoe service. but other subnet ( not pppoe) have problem, there is some web site they are unable to open while still open other web site...

yes all configurations related to DNS are fine, because some user are able to redirect but not all, and before yesterday all worked properly.

problem with hotspot service

hi all,

we have some intermittent trouble with hospot service.

in fact, routeros is unable to redirected some users, until they type link of the authentication page.

what can be most likely cause this problem ?

hi all, i have routeros with 4.5 version , running in a vmware machine. hotspot users have no problem to authenticate , but pppoe users are unable to authenticate. when i use a local account that i created in my RouterOs ( ppp--->secret) , it is OK. but for account in radius server, there is problem...

hi , if need to use regular expression to match one link in HTTP-level wallen garden, which caractar can i use ?

for instance,

hi ALL , we have DHCP problem frequently, with dhcp server enable, some user does not get ip address from Mikrotik Box. same problem occur with DHCP relay, and sometime
when user get ip address, they are unable to be redirect by hotspot gateway.

we don't know what wrong ?

is there a way to limit each user at 256k in a subnet ?

for instance, suppose we have a subnet 192.168.50.0/24 and need to limit each user in this subnet at 256k ( not subtnet but each user in the subnet)

We are not able to install routerOs on ibm server x3350 with SAS Disk Drive.
We have not enable Raid system,

but on Desktop with IDE DD, there is no problem.

hi all, how can i view all process who consumme CPU ressource in routerOs?(not just cpu utilization, but all process)
