Re: PPPoE over VLAN's to other RB

Simply bridge the Ethernet port that the pPPOe line is one, and the vlan you want it on. On the opposite end, you can do PPPoE clients on the VLANs. Are you sure that will work? I've tried that and it didn't seem to work... I'm going to recreate the setup and post my config if someone wouldn't mind...

PPPoE over VLAN's to other RB

Hi guys, I'm trying to figure out how to tag 2 ADSL lines in seperate Vlans using ROS, send them over a wireless link to another MT-RB and have that RB Authenticate the DSL lines on that side so I can load balance them on with the RB. I believe the loadbalancing I can handle but I've always struggle...

Re: Radius MAC authentication problem

Exaclty what I was thinking, hyphens would solve my problems. If only MikroTik would conform :D but when this would happen is another thing altogether. I don't know if this is dumb but would it be possible to use some type of script for this? Or have userman be a server to the hostpot but also a cli...

Re: Error causing crash, any idea's?

I have a wireless network that is also running Hotspot, and users are logging in and after the first search on google requests they log in again and then they get the splash the whole time without being able to surf at all. Is the to do with extensive data-loss? The logs between the radios seem fine...

Hey NetworkPro, Thats what I'm also doing, RB493 as main router PCC 4Lines and RB750 as hotspot router, How do I forward everything to my RB750 ip 192.168.2.253 interface=LocalLan V3.30 I want to espescially forward these ports: TCP: 37918, 1119, 3724, 6112, 6881-6999 UDP: 3724, 37918 These are the ...

Re: New firewall matcher PCC

I am having trouble with opening ports using UPnP while Loadbalancing with PCC, the UPnP docs say you can only specify one External Interface... Is there a way around this except forwarding traffic to a single gateway that I want to open up ports to?

Re: New firewall matcher PCC

hmph, I upgraded to 4.2 from 3.22 on a few test and did some tests and it seemed to be working alright, then I decided to replace our old loadbalancer and hotspot gateway with the mikrotiks (just to give you my situation now). Cool config, Chupaka I just want to know if you are using 4.x with the loadbalancing? Because I'm having a lot of trouble with 4.x and I'm downgrading today to 3.30 Until I can get everything sorted out.

Re: PCC question

Those extra Mangle rules are probably for ensuring the connection remains on the same ADSL line (IP address) but I'm not sure, the change mss magle rules are added by default and are dynamic. I left my MTU setting on default 1480 when I created the PPPoE clients. The distance changes are either to e...

Re: My kingdom for Load Balance!!!

Hi, I've also had problems with the loadbalancing for a while now even tried 2 PCC configs, the second one is a lot more reliable. Re: PCC question

Wow Hey, something I can help with. I've been playing around with this PCC and found the same issue. For the static that is fine but for dynamic IP with PPPoE you have to specify the range of IP's you will be using. Seeing as you are from SA too here is where my IP range is but I think this is only ...

Hehe I cheated that, I just edited all the rules, with comments "trafic that isn't local...". By Advanced (gui) I added: Dst. Address List: (inverted, check box checked) Localpppoe. Localpppoe is the address list I made with all the local IP ranges in my country) So now the mangle rules ar...

Re: New firewall matcher PCC

Has anybody had a problem with World of Warcraft or teamspeak? That was the a snippet out of the config that Interpoint pasted somewhere around the middle of this page. This is part the pre-routing chain. I only "re-pasted" this part because I want to substitute the dst-address, which is a static ip, with an interface (out-interface=ADSL1) or somethin...

Re: Aggregation ?

Hi, I was also looking into this. Firstly are you trying to aggregate multiple(2) ADSL accounts, let's say 2x 512k for 1024k internet speed? I have seen firewall scripts that loadbalances between the two but it doesn't give you a full trunk just splits the consumption over two lines but doesn't give...
