Re: RouterOS v3.x and RB100 series boards problem

We had several issues while upgradin RB112 and RB133c boards to v3.x RouterOS.
1. CPU usage goes sky high
2. Board dies after upgrade. It is impossible to get it working even with serial cable.
You need to uninstall/disable all unnessecary packages. V3 takes more resources..

It has nothing to do with that. Drivers that are not digital signed is a matter of Micro$oft wants money for signing drivers and a lot of of vendors doesn't want to pay them for that.

I think it's related to a bug in the new release (new linux kernel)

WiFi is Simplex and TCP is a full duplex protocol
Isn't WiFi actually Half-Duplex?
Half duplex / Simplex. This is why TCP goes slower. UDP is connectionless and TCP needs an ACK back for every packet it sends.

Got indoor enclosures for my 333's. Holes for 3 N-connectors in the back, but if i mount more than 1 R52 there isn't room for more than 1 pigtale.. It's like 4-5cm too short. Also i cannot mount more than 2 MiniPCI cards in this enclosure.

You are accumulating packetloss over the links. That is why you see so much drop in bandwith. You will have to make sure that the CCQ for every link is close to 100% if you want to move 10 Mbit over it. Also you should be able to move around 15 Mbit TCP between them at least.

Re: forwarding to ftp server

Hello! I am writing, because I cannot get through Mikrotik's router to the ftp server.. And, what else is interesting, the NAT rule O is not wirking as well. I have just one real IP address. So to I need to make NAT rules, I supose, to get from internet to my ftp server, that does not have a real I...

N-Streme is really the only reason why I'm using Mikrotik. It would be quite foolish to turn it off. Why is N-Streme to blame? What can MT do to fix this or can I do to help mitigate it? If you put some more traffic on these links it will be better. N-streme has big latency when almost no traffic.....

Any Comments anyone having similar issue?
112 not supporting that speed?

THX
RB112 can do 15Mbit TCP. Look at your signal levels. It seems like the AP sees the client better than RB112 sees AP. Propably antenna adjustments needed..

What's the point of 3 ethernet and 3 mini PCI with only 175Mhz CPU? I am hard pressed to imagine any use for such a product. 175Mhz is plenty for a CPE, but a CPE doesn't need that many ports... so I am forced to ask 'wtf?' It _could_ be used as an Backhaul/AP solution. If you're running 2.4B you d...

B6 Nstreme broken on RB532A but also good news

Hi, Tried 4 different boxes. 2 in live environment and 2 in lab. I can conclude that running Nstreme/Nstreme-Dual the routers stops forwarding traffic every 10 seconds or so when under heavy load, pauses 3-6 seconds and then starts again. I have just used normal Bandwith tests through the wireless 5...

If some one wants to reach the server I have to configure as POP3 Server on their mail client the IP address 60.50.30.40 ...

Strange SNR issue

Hi all.. I have 2 6km links running in parallel. 1 is Vertically polarized and the other one is Horisontally polarized on 23dBi 5G Panels. They have been running stable for 2 months with about 30-35 dBi SNR.. (Best measured perfomance when they were installed). Now all of a sudden one of the links h...

hi

how can i specify concurrent users in radius server so that single user can not log in simultaneously from different location.

thanks
This is something you set up on your RADIUS server, not on MT.

? :D
You would have to make a Queuetree based on your WAN and LAN and make subqueues under that for both indcoming and outgoing. Easiest way to do this is to base the queues on mangled traffic from adress lists, otherwise you would need to make 2 queues for each user.

Additionaly, 3.0 (release is on beta stage) provides more settings on 'interface wireless access-list', that is responsible for clients restrictions on the AP. 3.0 access-list provides 'time' option. Give it to us then.. We are waiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiting  More than 1 month since last Beta releas...

Re: MT DSL

first simplify your network in normal scenario...you will be using pppoe for your dsl(yur router dialing pppoe), configure your dsl router in bridge mode n let MT dial your pppoe to dsl...this way you will have 83.* ip on your MT..then use single NAT on MT n see results. regards, Asad good idea! ha...
