Re: BGP - Route reflector 1500 Peers - 12K Users

Hi, I made a Typo, I meant 10 000 Routes. I am not sure how i will handle that. Another problem is the depletion of IPV4, so if we continue adding clients we will run out of V4 Publics, and we will have to give some clients local IP's again. And to Go v6 only wont really work at this stage. So the c...

Re: BGP - Route reflector 1500 Peers - 12K Users

I have considered that, but it just get so complicated to manage it in areas, as we have allot of areas and an "area" can have more than 10 links to other areas. I did consider it, but it sounds hectic and can get complicated to manage.. I think carefully managing and planning pools will w...

BGP - Route reflector 1500 Peers - 12K Users

Good Day. Background: We have about 1500 Routers, and there are about 12 000 PPPOE users between all the routers. (routers Range from CCR to RB433) Currently the users gets local IP adreses in the 10.0.0.0/8 Range from pppoe Pools, and we use OSPF areas to only advertise the Ranges per Router. Aggre...

Re: SNMP breaking Graphs - Solarwinds -

There is only 1 dynamic interface, eoip Tunnel. But i dont care about monitoring it via SNMP or netflow. It looks lyke solarwinds software receive the data fom interfaces numbered high. Like interface 131, and then the logs state interface changes to 122 ect... http://thwack.solarwinds.com/thread/40...

It is our main router to the Internet, and I just want mikrotik to send netflow on our internet interface.

I have set the netflow on the specific interface.

Is there anything else I can check ?

Thanks

Hi. If I run Solarwinds netflow and send Data from my Mikrotik it works. But the Mikrotik changes its "ifIndex" constantly. Please see the reply from Solarwinds support: The issue from what we can see is not with Orion and is based on the configuration on your device as it appears the ifIn...

I have now managed to add the correct ppp, hotspot and login radius servers, but i can not find a way to remove old one first.

I just need to remove everything under /radius and then add the new ones, there must be an easy way to do this ?

WHat would you suggest I use ?
Maybe a fast SSD drive, and i5 CPU will do the trick.
I tried RB1100 but CPU goes toe 100% quickly.

Re: Routing from address list help needed

Thank you, I see now, wasnt sure about that last part.
ill test now.
The reason for all this is that clients max their queue of the pppoe and voip doesn't work anymore, so i want to route VOIP past pppoe.
Looks like this will work.

Thank you for the help.

Re: EOIP and Balance-rr Bonding

I am also highly interested in this solution.
I want to use 2x rocketm5 links on a rb1200 on each side and bond the eoip tunnels to create maximum throughput.
This will be for a 100mbps internet connection, but i would like like to have the tcp packet errors ect..
Anyone tested this before ?

Re: NV2 in v4.17 doesn't work - am I missing something?

I seem to have similar problem When I enable NV2 on my uplink, the clients that do not have NVT setup on the AP, their TX/RX CCQ drop by half, and the pppoe connextions keeps on dropping. When I switch of NV2 on the uplinks everything gets better but pppoe still keeps dropping? This caused chaos in ...
