I have installed 5.4 several days a go on a x86 that has about 900 PPPOE clients. It crashed after a day and I had to downgrade to 4.17 again. I had the same problem with 5.2 and I'm hardly waiting to see it solved and install 5.x version.

Dear Friends,

I confirm that by downgrading my x86 routers to 4.17 all above problems had been solved. For your information all my routers where using multicore CPU's.
I experienced more problems on more utilized routers.

I have some other issues on as much as I have active PPPOE users on my routers. Sometimes I get more than 10 packet losses continusely. It happens like every 5-10 minutes. Even when I'm pinging the router from another router on a same switch. I'm thinking of downgrading all NASes to 4.17. Also somet...

Since I upgraded many of my x86 routers to 5.2 sometimes my PPPOE users can't send and receive anything and I have to reboot the routers. It happens every day at a specific time but on different routers. Also there's a problem with Graphs. Everybody can make a http connection to my router and can se...
