well , actually sometimes it's just a virus affecting and attacking the whole network , sometimes a client network card that is causing the high ping delays and other stupid reasons that break down the network ... i tried firewall filters rules for blocking virus but no effect cuz they may pass thro...

wireless link protect network on both sides from each others

hi .. i recently installed a wireless link between two networks .. how can i prevent both sides from affecting each others , is there any firewall filter or a kinda rule to protect both sides and having a good link at the same time????

thnx for ur interest .. but no i can't use pppoe . my ISP provided me with ips each for an end-user and all of my clients are on the same network . I use the mikrotik just to let ips passthrough it inorder to make static the mac-addreses and observe the queues not more .. But when any small problem ...

help !! how to protect end-users from each others on network

hi .. there is an annoying problem .. when a single client has a virus or some kind of a network problem ethernet or whatever it affects the whole network of 300+ users !!! high latencies are observed , wireless links are badly affected ( timeouts and high delays ) .. Another thing if a loop happens...

ok thnx i'll try that but is there a more simple way like a firewall filter or a mangle rule to identify which ip/ips that has/have the virus cuz i have too many clients and it's hard to detect the infected one :S

hi .. i'm a provider and there is a virus on my network .. i dun know which ip is the real infected one .. i added a firewall filter to block the virus but i really need to identify which ip how can i do that PLZ HELP

sorry it didn't help :S .. the problem is that both pppoe-out clients are using same gateway and the route list won't accept two pppoe-out of same destination .. example pppoe-ou1 takes ip : 172.16.189.5 in the addresses it's like this address : 172.16.189.5 network: 172.16.189.1 broadcast : 0.0.0.0...

PPPoe client need help

i am a beginner internet provider . I have a prob with pppoe clients , can i add 2 or more pppoe clients at same time and use all of them at same time each for group of customers ? ( Note : all of pppoe clients are from same isp so they could have same ip class range ) .. plz help !!
