thanks for the reply earlier on. i have changed the card in the enclosure to XR5 frequency at 5300,connecting to 24dbi grid antenna. this is set in station mode. my AP is running also on an XR5 connecting to an omni.at first frequency was at 5300 but seem more people are using that so i changed to 5...

am not using nstreme. client side its on station mode.

Disconnection problems

i have a mikrotik client connecting to a mikrotik Ap.first the wireless network was working fine suddenly it keeps diconnecting
every 5 to 10 mins.
the client side is a grid antenna with an R52n card.distance from AP 4km. i get a signal 0f -79 to 80.
what can be the problem?

just found out that someone has installed a Vsat in front of the equipment.so i think its the one one causing.will try to move the equipment.using Nstreme do you think it would improve?

at the moment i have a grid antenna one side and flat panel the other.the flat panel is 23dbi and grid 24dbi. am using R52N on both sides.

else how can i know that the problem is on this side.what do i have to look for?

i have a hotspot which gets its pppoe connection through ether1.
it just stopped by itself, the only thing its dialing and disconnecting.i reconfigured the rb and plugged it but
but its still the same.
its connected on a switch which their are backhaul connections also.

can anyone help?

am able to get signal strenght of -76 on both sides without nstreme and supported data rates not configured.
but the signal to noise keep flapping from 20 t0 2 db and getting low throughput of about 300kbps.

the grid antenna am using are 29dbi so i want to try with 31dbi.

am trying to make a link about 65 to 70 km.am using a 433rb and 411rb, 2xr cards one on each router.am able to see each end but can;t connect for 5min.

am getting -81 to 86. can this be that the distance is too long.

i have a bandwith manager which is also my pppoe server.it connected to my AP.if i ping my AP i get about 1ms with no timeouts but if i ping my bandwith manager it pings 1ms but with alot of timeouts. i changed the cables still getting the same. can this be an ethernet problem on my bandwith manager...
