Re: Static Routes not redistributed with OSPF on v7 - Solution

Actually all my other routers ignore routes containing the forwarding address set and skip the route from the routing table entirely, they are also running the same router os v7.15.1 (and v6 and Bird). The docu says that when the forwarding address is not reachable for the other router it should gen...

Static Routes not redistributed with OSPF on v7 - Solution

I just want to share my solution of ospf stopping working after upgrade from v6 to v7, so others can find it. The default behavior of sending an LSA generated out of a static route was changed, the forwarding address field before with v6 was 0.0.0.0, with v7 the gateway of the route is inserted in t...

Re: v6.42.7 [current] is released!

lhg 60 have a fixed rssi now, its not changing anymore. that's ok for already mounted aligned links, but it will make mounting new links more complicated. its obviously only measured once shortly after connecting. the fluktuations are 6.42.6, the line is 6.42.7. the single movement was a reconnect. ...

Hi, I'am a wisp in Austria, running the network with 100% Mikrotik Clients & APs, around 50 Terabyte per month transported. I have Wisps since 2000 ... It's a very noisy environment here, we're using 100% nstreme protocol for all sectors as this gives us the best results. It would be pleasent to...

Hi, I'd be interested what is the weakest signal that will keep a Mikrotik 60 GHz link online with the lowest modulation and actual firmware. My weakest link is a WAP60 to a LHG60, lenght 763 Meter, RSSI around -69 db. Its planed to possibly have a PTMP scenario later on. ITU Climate Zone H or K (vi...

Are there any mikrotik DFS long time users around ? does the inband monitoring of radar sometimes dedect radars just cause of the damaged pakets a weak link is transmitting on mikrotik ? damaged pakets -> could be radar pulses -> radar dedected, even if not present back in 2003, 2004 exactly that wa...

Re: v6.37rc [release candidate] is released, only one wireless package!

Hi Mikrotik Gurus,

Is the radar scan active for all channels 100-140 (5500-5700), or just for 120-128 (5600-5640) ? What about channel 52 - 64 ?

will the dfs change also be in 6.36.1 ?

thanks maria !

Feaure Request: Watchdog to watch multiple IP addresses

Hi, It would be fine if the hardware watchdog could check more than one ip adresses, only rebooting if all of them failed. If the checked device is down, the checking device is rebooting even if it doesnt have a problem itself via watchdog. checking more than one device would solve that. thanks, Maria

Re: Virtual AP and NV2

having seperate radios for each provider is the only way to do it for the moment, BUT free channels and space for antennas is not an endless resource.

especially in crowded areas its a huge difference to coorinate 3 oder 6 channels (out of 9, cause 3 cant be used cause of radar reservetion).
