Re: Issue with ports filter / NAT rules that no longer work.

So when I use Torch on the LAN side, I am seeing the traffic head out. Though I see it destined for my gateway, rather than server it is headed to. Is that correct? I am using CenturLink DSL, so I have a PPPoE connection outbound. I can also Torch the PPPoE interface, and see traffic sourced from th...

Issue with ports filter / NAT rules that no longer work.

Hi everyone. I'm having an issue with a port forwarding and NAT rule I have used for some time. I stopped using one of my application servers for a few months, and when I went back to it, the rules (which were never removed) no longer are working. I asked a few years ago for some help adding the rul...

Re: RipV2 issue

Neticted, i agree on your later solution. One or two tunnels to someone else, and let them do all the routing. If they do decide to use BGP, I fear it will take a few years to get it going. Unless a few ham's that may also be (W)ISP's step up and offer colo's, then it may move along some faster. I h...

I agree with you both. There has to be a better way. I want to use AMPR for connectivity, but I'm being reduced to having to run a Linux server. Not what I want as a HE router on my network. I posted on the 44net forum tonight that I want a Simple connection. Something that doesn't use a service spe...

Has anyone been able to use a Dude Server on Sun OS? I have a couple of these in a network, and would like to entertain the idea if it could happen. Otherwise, I have to try and get our security folks to allow another PC on our network, and THAT can be a hassle!!

Thanks for your thoughts and ideas!!

Non-Traditional 802.11 frequencies

This is an off the wall question for most of you, but does anyone know if anyone is making 802.11 (or any protocol for that matter) wireless cards in higher frequencies? I am thinking 10GHz, 18GHz or maybe 23/24GHz spectrum. Looking specifically for Amateur Radio use. I know there is a lot of the 2....

Just wondering if anyone has thought about this. I'd love to have one device do it all, as the MT's have for me so far.
