Mikrotik routing through to VPN

I have one Mikrotik, one set of computers on a 192.168.0.0/24 network plugged into one interface and one other computer plugged into the other interface of the MT on a 192.168.100.0/24 network. Re: Possible use of a Mikrotik

Cool, ok i thought i might have to do this...i suppose this way i could set up routes to route traffic for the remote vpn subnets through eth3 (for example) that right? Would Windows stand in the way again? Like i said about only be able to share one connection at a time? Ideally i'd like the routin...

Re: Limit PPTP user to only see a range of IP's

That sounds very good but complicated for a beginner!
could you elaborate on your last point please, creating the filter rules......how do you specify IP addresses they can see?

Limit PPTP user to only see a range of IP's

Dynamic IP address on Public Side of MT

I'd like to use the MT as a PPPoE client and dial out to the ISP, is it possible to assign a dynamic address, if possible, to the physical public port of the MT, using something like DynDNS.org??

Re: IP Phone!

Ok, erm, the phone gets assigned DHCP info from the SBS 2008 rather than the MT (which interestingly it wasnt able to receive DHCP info from the MT until we installed the SBS 2008). It is supposed to boot up recieve IP address, contact the SIP server and receive calling info and all that. However it...

IP Phone!

Have setup a MT in an office fine, SBS server 2008 is the DHCP and everything is ok apart from one IP Phone, no matter how many ports or what firewall rules i apply, nothing works, it worked in the setup previous to the MT so i'm guessing it must be MT related!?
Any ideas anyone... :D

Re: SBS 2008

Yeah i've opened all those and enabled gre 47. Still not working, no idea whats going on, dunno if its the MT or the SBS, if i try to establish a VPN connection, it "connects, starts, authenticates" then it drops out, i can see a new PPTP interface pop up but it then obviously disappears.....

I'm having loads of problems with the internet connection wizard clashing with the MT and DHCP problems!
Just wondering if anyone has had a similar situation and how they resolved it.... :D

So from reading that link, it makes alot more sense now, i would set a DMZ in the BT router to route everything to the MT and let the MT distribute the traffic...would i specify the MT's router WAN interface address in NAT & Firewall rules or the ISP's public static IP address??
