Re: Cannot uninstall dude

Thanks for the advice. I guess I will have to try that. Although I hoped, there would be an easier solution.

Cannot uninstall dude

Hello everyone, I got myself a bit into (dude) trouble. I played around with an older version of dude but lost interest and disabled it. Now I wanted to take a second look at dude. Unfortunately, I cannot enable dude, because of an database error. That is why I wanted to uninstall and re-install the...

Re: v6.35rc is released, new wireless package!

Version 6.35rc5 has been released.
Hi guys,

great job! The new repeater feature really saves the day. No more hassle with all that WDS settings, at least for simple setups.
I just dropped the RC5 on my hAP lite and it worked right away. Keep it up!

LTE package enabled
wat
For MIPSBE there is an extra package available: lte-6.xx-mipsbe.npk.
On my RB750G I had to load that package first before I could use my LTE stick.

L2TPv3 Support

Hi Mikrotik, what about L2TPv3 support? http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3931 I am operating myself a couple of smaller wireless city networks. There are several well positioned antennas within the city, customers link up to. The antennas themselves connected back to a central location, mostly over wir...

Re: 4G with Huawei 3276 :D

what version of ros are you using??
I am running the lastest version from the current branch, 6.32.2 with LTE package enabled.
The ROS version seems to be working quite nicely on all my Mikrotik devices (RB750G, RB493G, mAP, hAP lite). But I just tested the LTE stick with the mAP for now.

4G with Huawei 3276 :D

Hi Mikrotik, I just wanted to share some great experience. I am really amazed how easy it was to get my Huawei 3276 3G/4G Stick running. I just plugged the stick into my little mAP, enabled the new ppp interface and put in the username - That's allready it. And it just came online and is working sin...

Re: PPP clients do not get added to bridge specified in PPP profile

Hi skillful, thanks for the reply. That explains it. By the way, I found another way to address my issue. In the PPP profile, I can specify incoming and outgoing filter, which allow the traffic from a VPN client to be forwarded to a custom chain. That way I am able to filter and mangle the traffic f...

PPP clients do not get added to bridge specified in PPP profile

Hi there, I just stumbled across an issue while trying to set up a hub spoke VPN with multiple clients. I have set up an SSTP-Server and clients. They can connect and traffic is flowing. However, the bridge interface I specified in the PPP profile used by the VPN clients is ignored. The SSTP tunnnel...

Re: Newsletter 55 - new products!

Hi there,

I am curious about the suggest sales prices and the general availability of the new devices. Can you provide me with a rough estimate for the new products? Which quarter are they shipping?

Log firewall connections to syslog

Hi everyone, since a customer of mine had some trouble with the police, I want to implement a log showing which client (IP address) has talked to which server. I thought of using syslog for that. But if I set up a simple rule Monitoring the uplink, every inbound and outbound packet gets logged. This...

Dualband AP with Mikrotik - what hardware?

Hello everyone, for a community event I want to provide wireless network access. There will be about 500 attendees, but there will be cable based Internet access as well. For the wireless I would like to use both 2,4 and 5 GHz band ideally provided by the same box. Since it is a community event, I a...

Remote Access VPN via L2TP/IPsec

Hello everyone, at the moment I want to configure a remote access VPN for my private little network at home. I want to use L2TP/IPsec protocol stack, because I trust this encryption more than PPTP/GRE combination. As VPN concentrator I am using my R450G routerboard connected to my dail-up DSL line, ...

Re: Fetch command - What can and can't it do?

Hi Chipaka, thanks for the tip. Unfortunately it did not do the trick. A simple test with /tool fetch url="http://www.google.de/index.html" worked fine. However, I receive an error 404 when I use /tool fetch url="http://ipv4.tunnelbroker.net/ipv4_end.php" . Are there some paramet...

Fetch command - What can and can't it do?

Hi guys, at the moment I am working on two scripts in parallel. While one is supposed to update my DNS entry at no-ip.com the other should keep my public IP current with tunnelbroker.com. Both services offer API's via http, so the fetch command seems ideal to get the job done. However, it has occure...
