Re: Can i use Hotspot when my clients are on static IP

Now create a link to your RADIUS server: /radius add service=hotspot address=a.b.c.d secret=TOPSECRET substituting the RADIUS server IP address and shared secret as required. Ensure you set up the public IP address of the Hotspot router as a NAS client on the RADIUS server, configuring the same sha...

Re: Can i use Hotspot when my clients are on static IP

I don't do real time support. If you want real time support you might get lucky on the forums, but really you should be paying a consultant. This forum is for community support. It doesn't matter how the data arrives on the Hotspot as long as it arrives on layer 2. All my Hotspots run external (non...

Re: Can i use Hotspot when my clients are on static IP

Ditch the Aradial (whatever that is) documentation, reset the router to factory defaults ("/system reset-configuration") and follow the instructions on how to make a Hotspot from the wiki (for example: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/How_to_make_a_HotSpot_gateway ). Test it and make sure it...

Re: Can i use Hotspot when my clients are on static IP

It works out of the box, there is no customization required for static IPs. Your setup is broken somehow. Post your configuration for input. I don't seem to have done anything strange. I followed the guide given by the aradial to setup the hotspot with the Radius server. I have tried this several t...

Re: How to connect Aradial radius server with Mikrotik?

IP address on the interface, where AP is connected (IP address should be from the same subnet on MikroTik and AP). If RADIUS server is connected directly to MikroTik, the same applies for the network between MikroTik and RADIUS, there should be IP addresses from the same network, additionally defau...

Re: How to connect Aradial radius server with Mikrotik?

How is this question related to MikroTik? Basic configuration with IP addressing and IP routing are the things necessary to achieve your configuration (from MikroTik RouterOS point of view). All configuration for RADIUS should be done on AP and RADIUS should accept and manage requests from it Thank...

Re: How to connect Aradial radius server with Mikrotik?

I see two options for your setup, - set wireless RADIUS authentication; - set wireless HotSpot RADIUS authentication. RouterOS RADIUS client configuration for HotSpot and Wireless is here, http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/User_Manager#Quick_start Thanks so much for the support. We use Wavion AP(WBS 24...

Re: How to connect Aradial radius server with Mikrotik?

What kind of service do you want to forward to Aradial RADIUS? My company(ISP) offers Wireless internet service via Mac authentication browsing for each of the CPEs but the database is growing seriously recently. We need to implement client authentication with the help of the Radius server in order...

How to connect Aradial radius server with Mikrotik?

Am facing an issue with how to setup the connection with Aradial radius server. Mainly how to connect the LAN and the WAN to the mikrotik. Then how to setup the port forwarding to ensure all traffic coming through the LAN passes through the Radius server for authentication. :)
