Re: Limit Client to 2 hour DHCP lease per 8 hours

Yeah that is what I thought was needed. That would involve a portal page.

Thank you

Limit Client to 2 hour DHCP lease per 8 hours

Hello, I have a public wifi location that would like to have users limited to 2 hours of internet access for every 8 hours. They do not want a portal page. Is there a way to script this by using DHCP leases? I was trying to figure it out but have no experience with routeros scripting. This site has ...

Terms of Use

All,

I am looking for the terms of use for the routerboards and the Mikrotik radios on them. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

Thank you,

James

Re: Redundant power inputs

If you have enough space you can install an automatic transfer switch. This will allow single power input devices to have redundant power inputs without modifying any hardware. APC and other manufactures make them. They are about $700 and are manageable.

Remote Manage Public Hotspots

I have a number of free hotspots that are just a Routerboard 411AR configured for an open ssid with some sort of Internet connection plugged into it. No QOS, fees, or filtering just a plain Internet connection. I am still learning my way around routeros so I wanted some advice. I want a way I can re...

Re: Symbol scan gun issues

I have over 3000 of the Motorola 9090 handhelds working on both Cisco 1242AG Access Points and on the Motorola 5131 Dual Radio access points. I have just started to use the Mikrotik RB411AR for Hotspots at my retail locations. Ask for motorola support and get the latest Fusion driver (radio driver) ...

Re: Hotspot Setup

Isn't the point of POE is to have one cable run to the hardware for data and power. So if use the lan1 for data I would have to use the power port on the board with a mikrotik power supply since the RB411AR only has one lan port?

Re: Hotspot Setup

Any ideas on a POE solution for the RB411AR or RB433? Looking at the streakwave website. Would the POE-18INT from wiligear work?

Hotspot Setup

Hello All, I have many free open hotspots and want to lower my initial hardware cost. Currently a normal hotspot setup cost is $230. I was looking at the RB411AR with POE to replace this setup to save about $100. All hotspots are small cafes with no more than 10-15 customers at any one time. I do no...
