I got it working.

Under Profile and limitations. I just created profiles names 1h - 10h.

You can add more time to a user that is out of time by bringing the user up in Userman and at the bottom under "All Profiles" you can select the profile / time you want and click add.

I would start by disabling all rules. You said the you disabled the filter rules that you thought would block outgoing ping, well it could still be something blocking the incoming response. Disable all and re-enable one at a time.

Just a thought... I don't know how you connect, but my ISP's cablemodems DO NOT like any mac changing. Any time I change a device, I MUST power down my cablemodem for several seconds before it will talk to the new device. That would be a limit put there by your ISP.
