Re: Hotspot or basic queue

Will there be a big difference in latencey? between using hotspot and queue? I have a hotspot setup now and a few users that try to game online or XBox. Internet connection is fine we are way under our bandwidth usage but ping seems to be to high for the gaming. Will using basic queue bring it down?

2 or more Hotspots on 1 device

Im trying to setup a different hotspot on 2 PORTS , on a RB493.

How do I change the gateway so each hotspot has its own?

By default the hotspot just uses the gateway set in routes.

When I use the Bandwidth test and the Mikrotik windows bt software, Im getting only 24.5 M test down, and less then 15 up. Ive checked all 4 computers, and even used different cables. I have a hotspot setup working, My setup also has 3 gateways. Im able to put a customers MacID and set them to a different gateway for everything but port 80 traffic.. Is it somthing in the hotspot making port 80 always use the routers default gateway?

Anyway around that? :(

Hotspot Setup, want to specify certain MACIDs to gateway

I have a hotspot setup with 3 different Gateways.. I already have split http traffic to 1 gateway, and all other traffic to another. I want to use the 3rd for certain customers based on their MACID.

How can I set a MACID to goto a certain Gateway?

Static IP to Net working, Dynamic No go

I setup my cable modem to a linksys router (NAT), if i tell the routerboard to use Gateway 192.168.0.1 (Linksys) then internet works.
