Re: IP XXX with port 4900 to change to IP XXX with port 80

Hi, Sorry that didnt work. Here is what we have needed (in more detail): We have a UDP multicast stream of 234.5.90.113 on port 4900 which comes in on ether3, then routes through to ether4. We want that to continue to happen but just to change the port number to come out on ether4 as 234.5.90.113 on...

IP XXX with port 4900 to change to IP XXX with port 80

Please help with a "simple" question. I have a stream of traffic with IP 10.10.10.10 and port 4900 - need to change to same IP address 10.10.10.10 but with port 80. What's the easiest way to do this?

We use live streams and cannot rebuild such - are there any other ways?

Filter PIDs in Video streams

A typical Video stream (1 IP address and 1 port) can have +/- 7 PIDs (some less, some more) i.e 1 x video, 2 x audio, 1 x epg, 1 x teletext, 2 x subtitles (CC). I want to know if there is anyway I can block/filter some PIDs that I can identify, to only pass A & V PIDs and remove all other unnece...

Re: PIM interfce limit Reached

Please could anyone offer an update reference this issue, as a limit of +/- 32 concurrent PIM Interfaces on 1 igmp group restricts RouterOS massively and I'm sure multicast is becoming more relevant all the time? The original 32 PIM Interface limit (fixed with RouterOS 4.6) was resolved quickly and ...

For - Letni. How long have you been testing V5Beta4 for, without a spontaneous reboot?

Re: PIM interfce limit Reached

We have been using 4.6 (now using 4.10) with unlimited PIM Interface and it works great, with no noticeable load on our RB1000 (we have nearly 1,000 concurrent users, each with a PIM interface PPPOE via L2TP) with CPU 40%-50%, Memory 75mb and very stable. The problem we have is when more than 32 con...

Re: PIM interfce limit Reached

Hi Atis, You helped us with the information that there was a PIM Interface limit, which was fixed by Mikrotik from RouterOS 4.6. I have posted a new thread with another PIM issue we are trying to understand and wonder if you can assist http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=43017 We are u...

Re: High concurrency multicast streaming - PIM

Hi all,

A brief update to say that we now believe this issue looks more and more as though it's related to a 32 user PIM limit, which was an earlier issue of RouterOS before 4.6. Any replys would be welcome.

High concurrency multicast streaming

We are using Multicast extensively with Mikrotik and have a big issue with multicast traffic. Have a problem with high concurrency multicast streaming, but don’t have a specific number of clients that starts to impact quality – or it's a problem with the volume of packets via each igmp group. For ex...

Re: Multicast, Bridge & Mikrotik

Hi Synologic,

Have you found a solution, because we also have routers (2 X PowerRouters) that that keep rebooting without any reason (Mikrotik & PowerRouter have been sent a lot of suppport files - without any success) regardin PIM and has been going on for many weeks now?

Re: RB1000 closing tens of pppoe connections at once

We have 2 PowerRouter 732's and an RB1000 that keep having "spontaneous rebooting". The PowerRouters keep crashing and we have had to - disable 1 of the CPU's, disable "multi threading" and try v5.x beta and v4.9 for each unit - without success and we continue to crash every 1-2 ...

SNMP V2c with Version 4.6

Can someone advice me if RouterOS Version 4.6 (build Feb/26/2010) can have snmp v2v?

I need to use SNMP V2c for 64bit counters so I can view Multicast traffic with my network monitor platform - PRTG Network Monitor from Paessler. Kind regards,

I need to remove the "<" and ">" symbol

I need to remove the "<" and ">" symbol Naming of users. Within PPP -> Interface “Name” it shows the “<” and “>” characters but not in PPP -> Secrets. The reason for this is we are integrating with another network management platform and this platform doesn’t accept “<” or “>” wi...

Re: RB1000 too slow

We need a "bigger" solution than the RB1000 and are looking at the "PoweRouter 2200 Series" and have just come across "Mikronoc 2000". Are there any other alternatives? Can anyone give details of how I can get more information about the Mikronoc 2000 as information and ...

Re: Nubmer of pppoe users

Message for "sojicmk" - did you find a solution to your problem as my company are looking for a hardware platform that can support 5,000 PPPOE users (using 1 device if possible). Any recommendations would be appreciated.
