Re: VPN DOESNT WORK HELP!

Try setting proxy-arp on the lan interface, not the gateway.
I saw ARP was "enabled" ... I didn't realize that it should be "Proxy-ARP" ...

Thanks. You're a life saver.

Re: VPN DOESNT WORK HELP!

Anyone? I can't believe that there is no response! I'm running ROS 6.03 I am using either PPTP or L2TP. I followed the examples found online to the "T" I even tried clear config and remake. Remote user cannot access anything on the inside. As far as I can tell, all the firewall rules are &...

VPN DOESNT WORK HELP!

Perhaps it is because of too much coffee and too little sleep but no matter what, I can't seem to get a VPN to work. Here's the export compact: exportcompact.txt In short I have one computer on the outside and it is trying to L2TP or PPTP in so that it can access resources on the network (printers, ...

Dual WAN / Inbound stops working

Hi & Thanks for the help, I have something that I can't quite figure out. I followed all the per packet dual wan instructions that I found on the Wiki and in these forums. From the inside going out, everything works great. But when I activate the two 0.0.0.0/0 routes with the Routing Marks added...

Re: Routerboard 433AH with two R52n reboots

Thanks for the reply. Any idea what the power requirements are for a 433AH with two cards in it? I don't have a larger power supply so I would have to buy one from monoprice or somewhere ... Before buying one I want to buy the correct one.

Many fundamental changes (kernel upgrade) so it will take a few more days. Probably next week. Translation: We're too busy playing Diablo 3. Routerboard 433AH with two R52n reboots

Hi folks, I have a Routerboard 433ah with two R52n. One is configured for bridge / NV2 with another routerboard over 5ghz A. The other is configured for AP on 2ghz. When there gets to be a bit of traffic (about 20mb a second on one, and 50mb a second on the other) the router likes to reboot by itsel...

Re: Small Web Server on RouterOS, please.

mindragon I think most folks want the router to be a secure router and not a hackable web server... 1. Hotspot is based on web server - as you told if you use it your router is hackable web server, right ? But the hotspot is an HTML-based system with very limited scripting capability. Compare this ...

Isn't something like this possible with Metarouter / OpenWRT / Apache?

Comments on 6.0b1

There were no packaged NPK files for 6.0b1 but I copied up all the individual files that were on my router (system -> packages). Rebooted and ran a speed test. Looks great at 75 down / 5 up to my ISP. (I'm paying for 20 down / 2 up). Wireless bridge to a 5.14 router works just fine. The new quickset...

RTFM...and it works better now!

Okay...so I re-read everything on how to setup an 802.11n transparent bridge properly. Turns out that with NV2 it is best to use AP Bridge + WDS on one side and Station WDS on the other. For whatever reason the other way that I was doing the point to point bridge didn't work at all. Best method to f...

I'm having stability issues with 5.0RC9 and a 493AH with one R52n using any mode (802.11, NV2 or anything in bridge mode) ... After about an hour or two it will lock up completely requiring a power off / power on. Anyone else having a stability issue?

Voip issues with 5.0rc9 (upgraded from 4.16). Re: RouterOS v5rc8

Now I have trubbles to restrore 5.0rc5, because access via MAC works unstable, when I try to upload package, it uploads about 400-500 kbytes, stops, and winbox disconnects. I would go with RC7 that was pretty stable. Best way to upload a file (restore old config) is via console + net install + main...

Drat. I guess it's too late now to downgrade. I'm running the RC9 that I received from Sergejs. It is from today but it doesn't have the -pre label. It does fix a couple of the lack of wireless issues that I had. Well heck, I'll run it now and see how long it runs for.

4.7 on an RB1000 with a 300 node IPSEC / OSPF VPN also causes an immediate 100% CPU pegging and ultimately crashes.

I see it has been pulled from the main site already.
