thanks you guys i got it working...
all I was missing was a bridge on ether2 so it could talk to the WAN port...
then after that setup ether 3,4 and 5 to use master port 2
and setup ips...

these are the ip's that i receive when i connect with pppoe

I can ping localy across my network... I can just not make the internet to work on the 3 last port
where could i get more help?

sorry bad typo...
I can now ping locally but not outside my network...

I do have my server in the DNS Setting windows...
and I added the pppoe-out2 interface on the Out-Interface for the masquerade...
what should there be on the source address

but its still doesnt work
?????

this is my setup from winbox...
I am not sure how my pc's are supposed to be setup
like should gibe them IP? gateway, dns? or ny
DHCP server will do all that

again this setup its not working
i cant ping anything...

let me know if I got something wrong or something missing

So like I said I got it working with a bridge...
But there is something that a really don't get... I got 3 pppoe modem on my desk
I know they are all working... but only one of them is capable of making a connection to the RB450

I got no idea why....
any one got an idea why its doing that

after trying everything and was still not wokring
erastus coetzee suggested me to skype him so he could help me out

we found out the my firmware wasnt working properly so we downgraded to 4.10 now its works perfectly

I do have a linksys wrt54gl that works with my iburst modem...

Can I connect the wrt54gl to my RB450 and make the wrt my WAN port and use the 4 last port of my rb450 to act like a switch

If yes how... i seriously need help

I an having problem seting up PPPOE on my RB450 and everyone one its telling me to put my modem in port 1 but that the only port that let me connect to winbox or ssh How to i setup the RB450 so that he let me connect to windox or ssh to let say port 5? so i can troubleshoot my pppoe connection thanks

its not a connect cant browse...
it just doesn't connect

I change the MTU but still no luck
If i go in my log file for the pppoe connection this is what I see

I am ready to try a remote connection if anyone up for it?

yes i use a pppoe connection when i connect the modem directly to the pc...
works in windows and ubuntu

or if i setup the pppeo conection on the linksys WRT54GL then of course i dont have to manualy dial a connection

but I cannot make the RB450 connect yet???

oh yeah the modem work when plug in directly in the pc or even in a WRT-54GL Linksys but i wasnt able to make it work in the RB450 yet I am working for an iBurst ISP and we would like to use routerboards for our future projects but I cant seem to make it connect yet??? thanks that is the modem I am ...

I have tried that.. is it still not working..
I dont know what I am doing wrong

I only have one light on the router went I plug in the modem (the orange one)
I dont know if I have to do something diffenrent because its an iBurst connection
