Re: Fail over scripting

If you are able to evaluate the link quality, why not to set the distance metrics according that? Good point, if you already know who is the main ISP you only have to assign it the lowest metric. Example: [admin@Router] > ip route print # DST-ADDRESS PREF-SRC GATEWAY DISTANCE 0 A S 0.0.0.0/0 [IP GW...

Re: Fail over scripting

Hi, i've tried two different methods: 1) By assigning to every interface a route and then routing traffic through it with different metric. That actually works. 2) By applying VRRP, different solution - equal result. But the question that seems that no one can answer is: How to do a smart failover c...

Re: CANNOT LOG INTO ROUTER USING MAC ADDRESS WITH WINBOX

Hi, sometimes default config is set to deny all connections on eth1.

You can try:

1) Connect your cable to eth2,3,4 or eth5.

2) Be sure of have all the other interfaces idle, i meaning wireless, other ethernet....

3) Be sure of having any firewall disabled (specially windows firewall)

Regards.

Hi, there is no way to help you with that post.

Re: Windows7 / need for administrative rights

In Windows, that's normal.
That's Right, it happens to many others aplications.

So, don't worry and keep on with right click, it's just one more step.

I am currently out at the facility and have found that I can only get into the ap in question sporadicaly. Usually I g...
