Re: Bandwidth Test TCP 3.9

Is it safe to assume that it is not a true measure of tcp throughput then?? Or do the test come out similar using iperf or some other test.

Bandwidth Test TCP 3.9

Has anyone noticed that bandwidth test running tcp pegs the cpu out. I setup a ptp with 2 411a's in the shop to test nstreme and different settings. I at first thought it was something with nstreme but it happens with nstreme disabled. Anyone else seeing this??

TX/RX Queue's

I am just starting to dig into queue's and traffic limiting with the mikrotik. Can someone answer how rx/tx correlates to upload/download on the cpe - Looking at the queue's set on the ap.

OSPF

Guys, I'm going to be dropping my skypilot network and switching to a routed PtP network. My thought processing being that I will a seperate radio for the 2 backhauls and ap. Would the PtP radios need to participate in the OSPF or would it just be the AP router. I will be running mikrotik on all of ...

Re: RB333 Nstreme performance

Hey Guys, What would your thoughts be on running a 133 or a 411 a single p2p backhaul into the tower location. Then a 333 for the actual ap to clients. Is there much of a difference as far as overall bandwidth between the 133/411 with a single radio compared to a 333 doing double duty as a backhaul/...

RB133 Performance

Hey Guys, I'm still looking into re-configuring my network (Anyone need some skypilot equipment) I agree with not putting all my eggs in one basket but cost is always an issue. How well would a RB133 perform running a single p2p nstreme link and ospf routing. My thought is using 2 RB 133's with R52H...

Re: RB333 Nstreme performance

Tony Thanks for the reply. I was looking at a single box solution for a couple of reasons. Cost and ease of implementation. I'm basically looking at creating an ospf ring with the 5.8 So if I did have issues with that ap - the ring should self heal and start routing in the other direction (all in th...

RB333 Nstreme performance

Hey Guys, I'm working on redesigning some of my network. I am going to switch from the skypilot system I'm currently running to an ospf routed network using routeros. I would like to know how well the rb333's work. I am planning on running 2 5.8ghz p2p links with nstreme and a 2.4 ap to clients. Wil...

SBC DSL HELP

I have 5 statics coming from my sbc dsl connection. The connection is pppoe and is not a straight forward static setup. I would like to know if either anyone is using sbc's sticky statics or if someone could give me a step in the right direction to make the pppoe connection on the mikrotik and hand ...
