I am having the same issue on a 6.40.6 RB2011. Previously working Windows 10 VPN, stopped working. I have not changed ROS version, but client Windows version has probably updated.
I suspect that there's been a deprecated cipher causing a problem.

Even if you want to ROUTE it, you have to use WDS.per RFC.! ONly way to bridge a wireless connection per RFC is via WDS!

To answer my own question - it's probably because the on board power supply doesn't output 12v, because they don't need it for any components. That's just conjecture, but it makes sense.I don't understand why Mikrotik designed this to use 5.5v, when 12v is much, much, much more commonly available.
