Re: New Config will not allow access to certain public IPs.

This problem appeared on another installation as well. Then a few weeks ago my ISP made some sort of change and I can connect. I believe it had something to do with routing amongst the ISP's selected Public range. Go figure..

Re: Config for 2 public IPs on 1 interface facing 1 DSL Link

Thanks. I created a bridge containing the WAN link and assigned the two statics to the bridge. I performed a one-to-one NAT on one of the IPs for a specific server and I configured the remainder of traffic to NAT using the other static. The firewall rules hurt my head though. I'm weak in that area t...

Config for 2 public IPs on 1 interface facing 1 DSL Link.

I have ran across a customer using an old Linksys VPN router with DMZ and load balancing capability. The router is connected to a single DSL link. I am installing a Mikrotik to replace the Linksys but I am not sure how to reproduce the config. I have been thinking in the direction of using the first...

I moved back to 9 myself. This alleviated the problem.

RouterOS 5.0rc11(for x86) Terminal crashing on file export

When I attempt an export from the terminal it always crashes. Has anyone experienced this? If so, have you found a fix or workaround?

I like the attached script but I still don't understand why the set property does not work correctly.

Simple Queue Graphing Problem

I am using a PowerRouter 732 for traffic-shaping on a 30MB link. Graphing is enabled for 6 simple queues. The global queue is providing skewed numbers in the "monthly" and "yearly" graphs. The "bits per second" are so large that small data is almost meaningless. Am I mi...

Second script no updating IPSEC peer

I have a 750 acting as a hub for 4 VPN connections. Two VPNs are plain vanilla static to static. The other two are static to dynamic. The first dynamic works fine with the use of a script for dynamically changing policy and peer. The second dynamic script, which is exactly the same as the first, wil...

Will accept dhcp from cable modem and will pass inet traffic. Upgraded with latest firmware as well. Still no joy with static.

Re: New Batch of 750s won't connect with static WAN IP.

Will have to post config later but here is the setup:
Router hanging in DMZ with static IP applied to interface 1. Cleared router's default config as normal so there are no hidden settings. Also added route statement 0.0.0.0/0 to default GW.

New Batch of 750s won't connect with static WAN IP.

I have three new 750s which will not connect with manually assigned static IPs. Nothing wrong with addressing as I can plug in a Cisco 851 with same ip and route statement and move right along. Masquerade is on. Has anyone experienced this trouble with the new boxes?

Re: VPN to ASA 5505 dying and never reconnecting.

I have not found a final solution but surely there is a script for pinging from a particular interface. You could run this script from netwatch.

Re: New Config will not allow access to certain public IPs.

To clear up that muddy response just posted: Work PC and router works off a static IP distributed by our local cable company. Offsite MK also has a static from the local cable company. To access offsite MK, I have to RDP in through second Cisco router to a term serv session that allows access to the...

There is a default route. The boxes are up and running, many with site to site vpns. The problem is remote management.

Re: New Config will not allow access to certain public IPs.

I have a static with DHCP-Client disabled. IP is correct. I generally disable all unused ports. This particular setup has a Wan interface and a LAN interface only. Masquerade is correct. I am going to check on the DNS and allow remote requests. Thanks for your reply.

VPN to ASA 5505 dying and never reconnecting.

Hello all. I have a site-to-site between a 750 and an ASA 5505. Remote PCs are on domain and are in need of constant connection as they use folder redirection and the domain's DNS servers. ASA config is standard at works with 11 other remote sites. Mikrotik seems to be source of problem Currently, i...

Re: New Config will not allow access to certain public IPs.

I have yet to make this work and it makes remote management of the router impossible without a RDP session into a PC within LAN. I am wondering if it might be some routing confusion within the static IPs and subnet given by our cable company. Any thoughts?

New Config will not allow access to certain public IPs.

I am new to RouterOS config. I have setup a 750G with basic config and it works properly except for the following. I cannot ping a few specific public IPs by number or DynamicDNS. The name is resolved correctly but the it seems the ping dies at the interface. Traceroute seems to confirm this. Firewa...
