DHCP Snooping / Locating IP address

I've got a couple of switches (non-Mikrotik) of different vendors that, as a function of their DHCP Snooping implementation, show what IP address has been assigned to devices on each port. I cannot seem to locate this information in Mikrotik RouterOS - is this not part of their implementation? Alter...

Hardware Switching RouterOS multiple VLANs

I'm trying to figure out the best way to configure VLANs on CRS328-4C-20S-4S+RM units. I currently have two VLANs on each access port, one for management and one for customer access. I then have those VLANs tied into separate bridges (one for management and one for customer access). The current conf...

Re: OID Discrepancy

Changing to "oid_raw" did the trick. Thanks everyone! If I use an external utility to probe the OID, I get the correct value (-43 in this case). However, if I walk the OID via the dude I get no value returned - it graphs as "0". Try oid_raw("1. because sometimes you can have...

Re: OID Discrepancy

I added a "." to the OID in the Function, however I have yet to see a change - it doesn't look like it is doing anything when I try to re-probe. If I add a "." to the beginning of the OID and walk it, it won't allow me to do so.

OID Discrepancy

I'm trying to graph an OID from a licensed link on the dude, and am having issues with the dude not returning a value. If I use an external utility to probe the OID, I get the correct value (-43 in this case). However, if I walk the OID via the dude I get no value returned - it graphs as "0&quo...

VLAN rSTP

Hello - I've got a setup in which I have a main link and a backup link coming into port 1 and 2 on a CCR1009. The other end of the link has an Ignitenet switch with RB260GS units on the SFP ports, as well as the main and backup links on the ethernet ports. The RB260GS units are set up to have manage...

Re: CCR Rx FCS Errors

You can try to use shielded cables.
I already have shielded cables at this site.

CCR Rx FCS Errors

I've got a site that had a RB1200 running 6.35.2 that was failing, so I replaced it with a CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+. I'm seeing Rx FCS Errors at a rate of around 1 an hour - I was not seeing this on the RB1200. The CCR is also running 6.35.2. I tried enabling flow control to see if that made any difference...

VLAN DHCP

Where should the gateway IP address and DHCP server be configured on a VLAN interface? The VLAN itself or a bridge that the VLAN is a port of? Currently I have both of them on a bridge, but I'm having some strange issues with a few clients renewing their leases in fairly short intervals, causing con...

Re: The Dude and Canopy

This did the job, thanks! I obviously have a lot of learning to do on this system.

The Dude and Canopy

I'm getting started with setting up the dude to monitor my canopy network but the only thing that I can get to graph correctly is the interface stats. Everything else just doesn't graph any meaningful data at all. For instance, graphing jitter (I created a probe for this by SNMP walking the SM and r...
